Bernhard Langer knocks in his final putt at the Masters Tournament. After 41 years playing at Augusta National, the 2x Masters Champion calls it a career.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

Thank you Bernhard!
Such a great player and role model. Hard working, but nice and humble
And he almost made the cut…amazing
I was pulling hard for him.
More important to Bernhard than being remembered as a great golfer is to be remembered as a Godly man.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
His career is no where near over. Have your staff write a better title
He’s gonna make a great honorary starter in the coming years
Tremendous
I hate that commentator's voice. What's his name? He's been at CBS for ever. The worst voice for TV or radio
most champions call it quits when they are no longer competitive, when they no longer can make a cut, and Bernhard was right on the cut line until he bogeyed the last hole, well done sir
One of the all time greats. Wanted to see him make the weekend, but what a performance. Thank you, Bernhard. Can’t wait to see what he continues to do on the Champions Tour
tears in my eye …🙌🏻
Was für eine Inspiration für Golfer auf der ganzen Welt. Einer der größten Spieler aller Zeiten sagt Servus. Danke für die tollen Momente. 🐐🇩🇪
When the Masters was, "The Masters." Much has changed.
The masters….a tournament. The Open….The Championship.
Ah, the traditional result fixing. My favourite was Koepka and Molinari both throwing it to their Nike team-mate, Eldrick Woods, the degenerate adulterer.
67 against those young kids just amazing, watched him pay in 1979 at the bob hope in uk. mans a legend
Class act all the way!
A legand of the game , align side palmer and jack nicklaus and Tiger Woods. He is a true game changer from the first game in the 70s to now. An amazing career.
What a great player he was. He might be one of the most underrated sport stars in Germany in history.
A true ledgend langer 😊
Hall of fame member as so many Legends that forged the game and gave us great memories. Servus Bernhard.
Legend has it he's still walking off the course
Member of the greatest generation of golfers to ever play. Watching him walk off is like watching the end of an era. It's a shame that so many of his generation stepped away from the PGA. The PGA is lesser for it and this great tournament is lesser for it. I was so hoping he would make the cut. If it hadn't been for one hole he'd have finished at even par. Even knowing that he demonstrated true grace and sportsmanship. A true champion in every sense of the word. Thanks for the incredible memories.
Respect!!!! ⛳️👍🙏🏻😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
A class act.
What men used to be like.
So much respect for Bernhard. A great golf champion – and an even better man.
I lost count of how many times I’d look at leaderboards and see his name in the mix. Competitive all the way to the end.
Congratulations on a stellar career!
Ikone des Sports, absolutes Vorbild, einer der größten Sportler aller Zeiten. Hut ab & Danke für die Freude, die ich beim Zusehen haben durfte
I wonder how Bernard feels about the state of the game that he (and I) love and appreciate as bigger than any players. A fractured set of events with the only constant being greedy players willing to destroy the integrity and history of the game. I just watched Crenshaw gush over the course design. What about the politics of who can okay? What about Greg Norman finally realizing his dream of taking down the PGA? What about the commentators telling that we are watching the best players in the world on diluted PGA fields? What about the mismanagement of the PGA? What about Rory and Tiger bringing simulator golf into the mix? What about putting Tiger in charge of fixing golf? What about the LPGA adding a fight major. If the only way to fix a business is to let the market decide, we are almost at the point where we have to want the players to finally suffer reduced purses. As a former ATPTour player for 13 years, I get the sense that the tennis players are about to shoot themselves in the foot as well.
Boring boring Bernhard Longer…
A true great of the game
Great career, brilliant ambassador for the game and European golf
So happy Langer will no longer keep a spot in the tourney. I personally believe anyone over 50 should do so, as their odds of winning are nearly 0 as no one has won. I also hope these 70-80 year olds can find a better way to start the tourney rather than limping up to take an abbreviated swing that might fail and hit someone, yes Watson and Player are exceptions but Nicklaus can barely walk.
Legend
Unbelievable. So much respect for Mr. Langer as a human being and same respect to him as a golfer. CLASS ACT.
Die Legende die man selbst gern wäre.
Ein wirklich tolles und langes Leben wünsche ich ihm noch.
Won the title for West Germany and after the fall of the Berlin Wall for Germany. Unique and a pleasure to witness. Happy retirement Bernhard
What a great career!
Great commentary! Many Thanks
Bernard Langer…the greates Germany. 🇩🇪 Golfer. ⛳️all time
Always seemed like a cool dude
Thank you Bernhard! Im grateful for seeing you so many years at the Masters and what you have done for german Golf!
My dad started golfing cuz of you and he got me introduced to it aswell.
Ich hoffe dass du noch viele schöne und sonnige Jahre hast, Servus Bernie
I simply dont understand why you'd stop. I'd keep going until i physically couldn't do it anymore. It must be so sweet to have retired from the pro tour many decades but still get to come back once a year and just be part of it all again.
I wouldn't worry about being competitive. The fans certainly dont care. They realise its nice to see the old guard out there.
Personally, i couldn't give that up unless i physically couldn't do it anymore.
