Rory McIlroy reflects on his day as he shoots 6-under to move out to a 2-stroke lead heading into Sunday. #themasters

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. Terrible line of questioning by unimaginative journalists. All this “ what goes through your mind” and “ process” questions.. they are repetitive , tedious and simply boring.

  2. No one wants to see Rory win more than me. However tonight will just be too painful to watch. Having Harry Diamond on the bag is no use . He just smiles and does nothing. I just hope he plays decent and finishes 2nd. Congrats to Bryson on winning your first green jacket. I’m not going to listen or watch it because the criticism Rory is going to get is going to be way over the top.

  3. As a Irish man, I was never a fan of Rory , he looks like he’s changed over the years, I do hope he wins it today,

  4. It’s hard to believe that these are the best set of questions professional journalists can come up with. Very disappointing and you can see Rory’s frustration.

  5. I want Rory to win so bad. He deserves to have this monkey off his back. If Bryson wins, i'll be devastated but I'll also know he'll be a deserving winner. If Åberg or Lowry somehow come from behind and win as well, then that would be the next best thing if Rory doesn't get the job done. I don't think there's even 20 people on this earth who want to see Patrick Reed win.

  6. You can see by Rory’s answers that if he’s asked a genuine question, he’s happy to indulge in an answer. If you ask him a stupid question or something to try stir controversy, he will give you a blunt reply

  7. It was lovely when Europe and the USA were allies and shared common values. Awkward now having to visit autocracies all now surrounding europe

  8. Whats the point of these press conferences during the tournament, mostly awful questions from the media

  9. He can't even answer the questions, he's ill prepared mentally for what's coming on Sunday!! IF he doesn't get off to the hot start and Bryson ties the match, it's game over when Rory has to start pushing! Once Bryson sparks the crowd, and he will, Rory is going to crack!

  10. Who are these idiot journalists…my goodness how uneducated, disrespectful…They should give their names and association too!

  11. I usually root for Americans in the Majors. Not today as I am rooting for Rory to complete his Slam. I am just not a Bryson fan for several reasons but he could very well win the green jacket himself. It could be an epic Sunday at the Masters.

  12. I understand why these guys don’t like to talk to reporters. Such negative vibes. Who wants to listen to this 💩

  13. They are paid to ask these base line questions be nice for them to ask actual questions that a golfer wants to hear Rory answer

  14. Why can't they just do this after the tournament? Guy is trying to win some Major golf and he's got 100 press conferences…

  15. Rory doesn’t have the control of Bryson, it all seems like he’s lying to himself about what he’s supposed to say and feel. Insincere character.

  16. What a miserable way to have to try and win. To be in a little bubble of your own when thousands of people live you. Clearly Bryson isn’t in his own little bubble…

  17. Never more sure about a Rory win than today. No former winners in contention, perfect weather, course set up perfectly for those who can hit 570 yard accurately in 2 shots for Eagle. Just way overdue for the talent level.
