Skipping on Hole No. 16 | The Masters

Players give their best strategies for skipping the ball across the water on Hole No. 16. #themasters

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. Here is another tip for all foolish humans. Add side spin with 45 degree. let it skid skid skid and float and roll into hole.

Top spin go into water , back spind dies after few hit in water…

45 degree side spin has forward momentum and angular momentum to feel light and travel far.

Ok give me membership for this great truth.

    Humans hate truth though

  2. I didn’t realize there was a practice skipping round. This is the first time I’ve seen footage of 7+ players hitting it once. I always thought it was just a hole they played on the fun par3 round. Like when Vijay skipped, then holed it, I don’t remember seeing anyone else around save for his caddie

  3. They should charge the sell-out LIV scabs $5 million to play the revered tournament and donate the money to The First Tee

  4. These professionals have to try and complete this type of shot. I do it without even trying!
