Struggling with consistency off the tee? It might be your shoulders.
Most golfers don’t even realize their shoulders are working against them — but this simple fix can lead to straighter, more powerful drives. In this video, we’ll break down the critical mistake almost every player makes and show you how to correct it with one easy shoulder and hip position drill.
🏌️Improve your ball striking
🏌️Increase accuracy
🏌️Fix your swing path
This tip is especially useful for senior golfers or anyone struggling with consistency off the tee or fairway.
We’re talking shoulders, hips, and head — and how they align at the point of impact. Plus, you’ll see how two legends of the game, Arnold Palmer and Bobby Jones, used this exact technique to generate powerful, accurate shots under pressure.

⛳ The Perfect Address Position:
At address, your Shoulders and Hips must work together — but not in the same direction!
✅ Shoulders Closed to the target line
✅ Hips Open to the target line
⛔ Shoulders open with hips closed = No control!
When your shoulders are closed, they point toward the target line. If they’re pointed away, they’re considered open — a common mistake that kills accuracy. The key to a perfect shot? Keep that trailing shoulder down and back, not up and out!

🎯 Golf Legends Who Mastered This:
Arnold Palmer had one of the best address positions in golf history — slightly closed shoulders and slightly open hips at impact. Hear directly from Arnold on the most important fundamentals in the swing.
Bobby Jones, winner of 13 out of 28 majors, swore by this move. He believed keeping the trailing shoulder closed and rotating the hips properly is the secret to consistently powerful golf shots. According to Bobby, 99% of golfers don’t rotate enough — which leads to short swings and wasted power.
