  1. What a great batsman, human and speaker Brian Charles Lara is, truly inspirational and it was lovely to hear him speak so positively of Anderson too.

  2. One of the Greatest… although he didn't master all bowling conditions like Akram/Ambrose/McGrath/Steyn or Warne / Murali did! Them are are true greatest from his era!

  3. For me Brian Lara is a truly great Cricketer, I so much enjoyed watching him bat and frequently send English bowlers all over the ground. A wonderful player.

  4. Quite ridiculous for a West Indian to name Anderson as the greatest quick of all time. What is he thinking?

  5. Love Jimmy but it actually does him a disservice calling him the greatest fast bowler ever when we all know he’s not. One of the greats? Absolutely. The greatest? There’s a few ahead of him who performed in all conditions around the world. Marshall, McGrath, Steyn, Ambrose, Walsh, Hadlee, Lillee, Trueman, Akram plus probably a few others.

  6. What magic was that watching this man bat.. it's been a perfect cricketing bliss as far as i am concerned?

  7. Greatest fast bowler in the game…are you serious 😂😂…James Anderson is a great no doubt and the greatest cricketer of England ❤

  8. Anderson may not be a greatest fast bowler considering how he performed in the subcontinent during half his career, fair to say greatest swing bowler .

  9. Bear in mind that Brian has been asked to say something nice about Jimmy Anderson on British TV, so ignore the title on here because I can assure you that he doesn't think Jimmy is the greatest fast bowler of all time!

Jimmy is a legend and his longevity and wicket haul is amazing but he'll be remembered as a very good bowler rather than an all-time great on the same level as Trueman, Marshall, Lillee, Wasim, Waqar etc.

  10. Shamar joseph would be the one to watch out on this tour as we have seen him what he did against Aussies.

  11. Jayasuriya hit six fours in one over against Anderson in a test match. Jayasuriya didn't care whether he was the best or the worst just dished out the same treatment to every bowler. He didn't discriminate against any bowler. He took all of them to the cleaners.

  12. Jimmy isn't the first bowler he's said this about lol. Either way, no way is he the greatest ever. One of the all time greats, sure.

  13. 700 test wickets will take some beating in today's game as unfortunately test cricket is taking a back seat compared to T20 cricket, maybe never be beaten by a quick bowler ???

  14. Malcolm Marshall best and greatest fast bowler of all times.Jimmy served England wonderfully.Indeed he was a very fine bowler.Happy retirement James Anderson.

  15. Brian Lara is an embarrassment to region and to Caribbean people across the world. The man played with Marshall, Ambrose, and Walsh. He competed against McGrath, Brett Lee, Wasim, Waqar, and Alan Donald. But Jimmy Anderson is the greatest fast bowler ever?!!!! 😂😂😂😂 Lara selling out for a paycheque as usual. We can’t take you seriously anymore 🤦🏽‍♂️

  16. I'm a Lancastrian and hence a very long-time admirer of Jimmy Anderson and he's arguably the greatest swing bowler ever but Malcolm Marshall is, for me, the greatest fast bowler (and was the stuff of nightmares for so many batsmen) of all time.

  17. B C Lara

He always speak with great purpose and confidence unlike so many others.

He is fluent, has energy and engages very well with great common sense and ease.

His speaking is like his batting and they are very much alike.

Arguably one the top five greatest batsmen of all times.

Most certainly my number one batter.

I always have great value & time listening to him.

Many others former cricketers put on an international accent far removed from they natural self, yet they are struggling to keep it going and being articulate and focus driving yet staying confident when speaking.

They oftentimes, struggles with effective speaking.
He is natural and seems very confident when speaking.

He speaks with passion & purpose.

    Very good orator indeed.

    Tribute from Lester Zoom Headley.

  18. No. Just a fast bowler with the longest career. Anderson was mostly a weather man. Was effective in English conditions. Nothing extraordinary or special. But yes with one of the longest career as a fast bowler
