Watch Honorary Starters Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson tee off to begin the 89th Masters Tournament, a tradition dating to 1963. #themasters

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. Nicklaus the undisputed GOAT imo -> 18 major wins, 19 runner ups in majors, 140 plus majors in row he played from the 60s to 90s. Never to be matched I believe!

  2. For my 30th birthday, I'm giving myself the ultimate bucket list gift—attending The Masters in person! After a lifetime of watching from home, it's finally time to witness Mr. Jones' masterpiece with my own eyes.

  3. About 50-55 years ago I’m sitting at the practice range at The Westchester Classic. Gary Player takes an open spot and says something to his caddie. His caddie walks away and comes back a few minutes later with a large glass of milk. That’s why Gary is in great shape at 89. BTW – I just learned that Tom Watson had shoulder replacement surgery in November after a Go-Cart accident at his farm. He also got married last year.
