Fore Please! Now Driving… Episode 3: It’s Wednesday at the Masters, a day of fun and family at the Par 3 Contest. Host Marty Smith is here to preview the 89th Masters Tournament. Jim Nantz, the voice of the Masters, joins Marty to talk about the emotions that Augusta National evokes and the players he expects to excel this week. Marty then strolls down hole No. 18 with Jordan Spieth to talk about Jordan’s Masters victory 10 years ago. Finally, Claire Rogers joins Marty in the Fore Please studio to share how the magic of Augusta National has helped her form a special bond with her father.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. I always forget, is Nantz an Augusta member or just the mayor of ANGC? Imagine being the freshman at Houston and you two Frosh roommates are Nantz and Freddy Couples.

  2. I’ve noticed people talking about the Augusta vibe this year more than ever… t has to be that there are no cell phones allowed. No FOMO, no worries… I think these things have deteriorated our being.

  3. Jim Nantz' last interview with the late Arnold Palmer was classy and timeless, a fitting tribute to a legend.

  4. Nanzt should flip the Yukon for extra cash. I'm sure the flower beds in his Pebble Beach mansion are feeling his absence and probably could use a little extra TLC attended to by the butler. Or would that be the resident gardener? 🤔 These are very difficult financial decisions one must ponder and think deeply about in this one for the ages world that we so dearly have fallen in love 🥰 with. Now let us prey on the course for master discernment so the green jacket and go well with the Masters dinner where cheeee burger sliders and raviola are today's soup dejour for members of the elite casodex of green.

  5. I wonder how many times the eventual champion actually even tee'd it up in the Par 3 contest. Is it a curse to even play in it, or just to have won it?

  6. this the guy who was going around the par 3 contest last year calling everyone's kids beautiful and making everyone uncomfortable?

  7. jim nantz has got to apologize to the LIV golfers…he acted so below his own standards when he broadcasted such negativity about the golfers who migrated..

  8. The reason the vibe is so great at the Masters is it is one of those few places where every person there wants nothing more in the world than to be there. Therefore there is joy in the air. I've been to the Masters once and felt that. The other place I felt that was the Taj Mahal in India. No bad moods, no bad attitudes. Gratitude. Let's get the Masters going.

  9. Guys, there are multiple cars that Tiger Woods drove that would be considered collectibles lol. I just don’t know how well they’d drive today😂

  10. Why isn’t there an overall highlight of day 1? There are single player highlights and miscellaneous coverage, but not having a day 1 video summary of the tournament is a big miss. Disappointing.
