  1. So… and correct me if my math is wrong here… that means that 51% of the time when the lead-off man gets on, he's OUT. Assuming that number is accurate (it's not, he's wrong, that number is 38%), then we actually want the lead-off man to get on base–because he doesn't score more often than he scores.

    The survival of our species depends entirely on all of us learning basic math.
