The Wilson Triad golf ball might be the best choice for mid-handicap golfers in 2025. With a three-layer urethane cover, it offers tour-level performance at a fraction of the cost of Titleist, TaylorMade, and Callaway balls. If you’re looking to improve your golf game without breaking the bank, this ball could be your best option.
Wilson is an underrated brand in the golf industry, producing high-quality golf balls and clubs for decades. But unlike brands like TaylorMade, Callaway, and Ping, Wilson doesn’t have superstar players like Rory McIlroy or Jordan Spieth promoting their products. That doesn’t mean their golf balls aren’t worth considering.
In this video, I put the Wilson Triad to the test and compare it with premium golf balls to see if it lives up to the hype. Is it the best budget-friendly golf ball? Can it help lower your scores? Watch to find out!

Next ball to test

Awesome golf ball. Been using it for a couple of years
I always used Wilson Pro Staff balls as a younger player … they just kinda disappeared
Already use this ball and have done for about 12 months. I found my drives straighter but slightly shorter. Hits more fairways which is better. Great feel with the irons. 12.5 handicap and only been playing for 3 years
Good dive into the Triad. I'm a Wilson fan boy and play their irons and balls so you're preaching to the converted but still good to see that it holds up to the pro v1 which is a ball most amateurs shouldn't be playing but a lot do.
I found a kaos ball in the rough one day and decided to play it when I was hitting over water on a par 3, what a great ball , it went straight and exactly where I aimed , still using them today
Whatever Wilson golf product you buy….they are always great, í have been gaming the triad for a year now, absolutely love it
I think you're right
Been using it for a year now. Great ball. Often on sale too. Very durable in my experience.
I just started using the Wilson Duo soft ball! I have a slower swing speed. They are fantastic! Longest hits I have ever had, and stick to the greens. Not for everyone of course, but work for me. I won't ne changing anytime soon. I also use Wilson iron's.

‘23 golf ball analysis from UK reviewed literally all balls, w, 7i, & driver. Wilson Triad and Maxfli surfaced as high value good performers! Great video, good data, and good mid-am advice!
Been using the W/S for the past year. Won't play anything else…every so often will hit a "found" Titleist but always regret it. New Wilsons are also good.
