I want to see Bobby and Gary vs James and Chris in a scramble
Bobby's swing is pure
They are a great feeling club! I have the combo set 301s and 201s when I'm struggling. The biggest complaint is they will not sale partial sets? I would like 8-w CBs when I'm not on with the mbs but takomo will not sale partial sets? I've had them for about a year and a half. BTW I changed the shafts Nippon pro 950 gh, very accurate with this combo!
Well done guys. Great job in front of the camera Bobby
Bobby is a real player these days!!!
Don't agree with clubs looking battered and worn – have always used iron head covers
I got the 101’s with heads only and had them custom fitted with Fujkura shafts. The feedback and forgiveness is fantastic. They are beautiful clubs at a great price.
Don't criticize what you have until you have something better 🙄
They look amazing. Bob got a great swing
I love mine, bought them thanks to you guy's, P.S think Bobby makes a good addition to the team rather than just behind the camera 🤔
You can just get the heads for these and fit them however you wish. I personally have not felt a softer forged set. I have an old set of Mizuno MP-14s and the Takomos are softer IMHO. The only beef I really had with my 301 Combo set is that the grips feel slightly thinner than normal. So I just replaced the grips with normal tape underneath. They were fine after that. They use some sort of thin film under their grips which make them thinner than normal. So if you think you are at the edge of standard or midsize, go up and get the midsize. Other than that, these are fantastic irons.
Just to speak to the idea of people that might say you can’t get fitted for them; if you’re the type of golfer that even thinks about fitting, chances are you’re already playing a set of fitted clubs. Therefore, you buy the heads only and put them on the fitted shafts that you already have. Still way, way cheaper than buying any new set.
That’s where they go wrong. They need to let you purchase irons separately. I’d get them if I could buy just a 101 4 iron
Reviews complain of inconsistent seeing weights and lie angles through the set
Pointless buying brand new irons if you are not bothered about getting fitted. Buy a good used second hand set with your preferred shafts off ebay plenty of them about. Less original outlay and if you don't like them you can sell them on at a similar price, and you can change them more often if desired.
Never blame the equipment
Great video James and it’s good to see Bobby enjoying his Takomo irons
He looks a really good player👍
Bobby with the killer sign off. Great video guys. I just had some la golf shafts put on my zx5s because of you and they are amazing.
Trouble is james, you are always banging on about custom fitting but then with these you are not , so why is that
So the 101 if you are a high handicap? Which one would be suggested?
I have same set 301 combo and I’m loving them solid as hell but had to put 120 s300 in
Got a friend that’s a five handicap with pxg’s. Got a set of tacomas can not hit them worth a crap. Even got a shaft update. Going to see if I can hit them.
Currently playing TM P770s off 7.9 and slowly coming down. I've been looking at the 201s, 301 CB and Combo. What would be the best to move into? I'd appreciate any advice from James and others currently using the irons.
I have the 101 t after James and others reviews on Takomo and how glad I have, as an 8 handicap I think these are absolutely awesome. Thanks to all your reviews guys, you do a cracking job with the info you provide. 👍👍👍
Shouldn’t he be in Barbados?
Very amusing having told Bobby yesterday we need to see him more in the videos and here he is! .. what a golf swing ⛳️🏌🏻♂️.. clubs do look nice though you both make it look easy!
Bobbys swing is just a delight to watch 😏I’m jealous !
Uu
Hope to see more of Bob as he is a good addition.
Enjoyed that , Bobby looks a proper player too 👍
