  1. Yo! Been a while since I chatted. I’m in Santa Fe on some sad business. But, if I find some yummy food I’ll tell you about it. All my friends here are Native American-Pueblo. So I might get stuff like fry bread, chili(very different than what people call chili), Indian tacos(well that’s what they call it), pozole and bunch of other yummy food to put me asleep for days. I have a good friend I met thru my late best friend just north of here in Pueblo Colorado who is chief crazy horse’s great great great grandson. Nicest guy. He has pics in the library of congress and I think the Smithsonian. Look him up and you’ll see him in his full regalia on the net. 6:57 George free spirit Medina. He performed my late best friends native last rights back in 2021 when passed away. Be safe

  2. Misty:

Kunia Rd brings back memories for me.
A VERY lonnng time ago when I was in the 8th grade at Waipahu Elementary School,
two friends and I hiked from Waipahu, up Kunia Road, to Wahiawa… and back.

    I task I couldn't/wouldn't do today. lol !!!

    PS:
I think the BBQ sausage-plate begs for rice !
Also, I appreciate seeing the menu (price$ 😉)

    Thai… my favorite cuisine.
Been to Thailand four times and would go back in a New York Minute !!.

  3. Misty the brisket look ONO! The pulled pork too. Kunia golf course was the first course i played on with my father back in the 60’s. lol

  4. Really enjoyed this video Misty! It such a coincidence, was just there this morning to pick up supplies across the road at Nutrien!! Saw the sign for smoke meat will check it out next time I’m there!!! Have a great weekend!!😊

  5. Awesome story. 'This Little Piggy' going get business from your review, thanks to their good deed of hooking you and your work crew up with gratis lunch not even knowing who you are. Beautiful.

  6. Hey yeah, that Golden Mountain sauce 😎. We usually add Hawaiian child's when eating poke' 😋 of sorts . If it's too salty, we dilute it with water accordingly. It's a flavor that could pair with many "pulehu" style foods especially. Definitely enhances. Let your taste bud's go nuts 🤪! Always look forward to your food adventures. You've got a great thing 👍 going. Happy trails and happy eats ❤…

  7. Mahalo for showing us these secret treasures, Sister! I’m definitely gonna share this with my Ohana and visit very soon!

  8. Warning, don't take a big swig of your drink when you think the video is done! I almost sprayed my laptop with soda!!

  9. Wow! That brisket looks ONO! Thick and tender looking! So, since you've been to Tennessee, how does it compare?

  10. Both places looks so ono'licious! I think I hear This Lil Piggy calling me! Bbq for Saturday's lunch! Like you, i didnt know there was a restaurant inside the rim shop. Mahalo for sharing!

  11. Never heard of kiawe wood, and certainly never heard about its properties for smoking foods before – learned something from this vid and I appreciate that!
    Meow!

  12. Good video review of the smoked meat. I hope to be able to swing by and try the place. I never had mainland style barbecue meat/sauce growing up here for most of my life, but when I was in Virginia for an internship, I had southern pulled pork which I when I tasted it, thought it tasted like Kalua pig, so I'll have to try the smoked meat.

  13. Thank you for this because I've passed the smoked meats place a few times but was hesitant to stop. I'm picky about smoked meats but I will definitely get some smoked meats from there. Thanks
