How can anyone offer an opinion unless they have actually played the course? Can't believe Emirates is number 2 with all that concrete in the background! Number one choice looks pretty good but supect chosen by a native of that fair country.
It’s almost impossible to select a top 5 list for the most beautiful golf courses in the world. I think a top 10 or top 20 would be more appropriate, as there are so many outstanding courses in this category. Augusta National & Cypress Point are absolute certainties, but what about Pebble Beach, Shinnecock Hills, Muirfield Village? There are so many courses in Scotland (Loch Lomond in particular), Ireland, England and Wales with pristine natural beauty, not to mention other parts of Europe. In South Africa there is Pinnacle Point, and many others in the Western Cape. Australia also have some stunning courses, so maybe a Top 20 list would be a better compilation. This should be put together by a panel of judges consisting of course architects, golfing greats & personalities.
Wow I was looking at golf course and I put this video on and yea Cypress point came out first I worked there for 7 years and it's a very beautiful golf course
Agreed. No way on #2. It’s pretty because of the background buildings, but that background doesn’t even come close to the backgrounds of the other courses, plus the other courses on the list are just plain better. If this was a countdown, I can’t believe you put those 3 other courses in front of Augusta and Cypress.
