Hi Iโ€™m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel! This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf equipment reviews, golf instruction & I play against some of the best golfers in the world!

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.

I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

  1. Video of you forfeit lol, however you didnโ€™t have the best of luck on the course, keep up the good work, like to see you and Guy playing together again

  2. Drives that drop and stop? 40 yard pitch shots getting caught and only going 20 yards? Welcome to South Florida golf Rick. They say, if you can make it here you can make it anywhereโ€ฆ

  3. Rick, here is what cured my pitch shot duffery (and it's really effective): feel as if your head slightly moves towards the target on the backswing – that will (almost magically!) take care of your low point and fatting it halfway will become a distant memory. Try it!

  4. Nice! I played baseball in college in Miami in the mid late 90s and a buddy played on our golf team ended up working there and got us on numerous times. This wouldโ€™ve been the early 2000โ€™s. The Blue Monster is no joke of a course. Course looks absolutely fantastic!

  5. Fantastic course and good playing Rick. I think you were too hard on yourself being 5-6 over after 12-13 holes and finishing at 80 is insanely good for a low to mid single digit handicapper like yourself from the tips! IMHO Rick you need to get rid of that 3 iron, it's not doing your game any favors. A lot of tour pros prefer a hybrid or increasingly now even a 7 wood type of club. Only the most elite iron ball striker pros, like Min Woo Lee, i.e. the younger guys in their prime (20s to mid 30s) seem to keep a conventional 3 iron in their bag or a 2 iron driving iron year round. You typically only see most of the field carry 3 or 2 irons at weeks like the British Open where flighting the ball to keep it out of the wind is key. Next week at the Masters there will def be quite a few players using 7 woods to help hold the greens on long second shots.

  6. Rick ,Can I just say you are an exceptional golfer and presenter .
Your camera and sound crew are incredible.
    Thank you very much .
    Keep it coming .

  7. This video nicely sums up how I feel about golf. There seem to be very few rounds when all facets are working at the same time Rick's putting is usually so solid but he missed a lot this round. His driving was unreal and his irons up and down. Been there so many times (although obviously not the same level). What makes you love and hate the game so much!

  8. If you don't like the 80 yd pitch shots, why not hit a 4 iron instead of the 3 wood from the par 5 fairways and leave yourself the 130 yd approach shots you're more comfortable with? Something you have control over, play to your strengths…

  9. Nothing worse than hitting the ball great off the tee and not scoring. Rick's definitely on the edge for a low round soon.

  10. Rick you werenโ€™t hitting your idols bad you were just drawing every one but didnโ€™t have the confidence to aim right.

  11. Played the round as well as could. That course is a monster & daunting. Going to be an exciting tournament to watch.

  12. I was so impressed with your putting and the avoidance of any doubles! Driver was on a rope as well. Nicely done!

  13. I feel you "cracking the code." Coming from north it's completely different playing on burmuda. So sticky and grabs.
