Sam Ryder birdied six of his final seven holes at TPC San Antonio on Thursday to card a 63 and take a one-stroke lead at the Valero Texas Open.
Ryder went bogey-free on his afternoon to pass Keith Mitchell, who shot a eight-under-par 64 in the morning wave.
Brian Harman sat in third place after a 66, and Carson Young and Jordan Spieth were tied for fourth at 5-under 67.
