Tee it low. The top of the ball (on the tee) should hit the middle of the club face as you put the club on the ground behind it. Don’t treat it like your driver. It isn’t. Stand closer to the ball and shorten the width of your stance. You want to get your body around on this swing. Consider a 3/4 backswing. Don’t go all the way back with the club. On the downswing, focus on uncoiling your body, leading with your left side. Strike the ball and finish high. That should give you the shot you’re looking for. The reason you duffed THIS tee shot is you hesitated and then decelerated. I don’t think you were 100% persuaded you picked the right club.

I use a red castle tee for my 4 & 5 hybrids and hit them the same way as my irons.
