I have SM7 wedges with lots of bounce. Using the bounce consciously feels like cheating. Also, the more you do it, the higher your confidence rises, leaving you all your attention to focus on trying to hole your chip, rather than making sure you don't duff it.
Don’t forget these guys play off perfect lies every time, I’d like to see them playing of wet muddy heavy lies and for bunkers to be taken off the golf course and replaced with heavy rough.
Why more golfers don’t consider making it easier is beyond me. I see frustrated great golfers on course but just buying off the shelf clubs and never understanding why they have a poor short game. Short game is everything for me
I have five wedges I carry with me… Obviously I have more than 14 clubs in my bag, but I’m not a pro that knows exactly what to expect on every course. I do have head covers on my extra wedges so when I pull it, I know I’m going past 14 but that’s just for my benefit. I’m not playing in tournaments. And two of them are high bounce. I have a 52 wedge high bounce and a 60° high bounce. Plus I play a 60° low Bounce of 56° medium Bounce and a 50° medium Bounce. And out here in Las Vegas I do have a seven iron for the rocks. 😂

I’d never considered how much bounce my wedges have! I wonder now what I’m using.
So, would using a chipper give a similar margin for error?
How bout off tight lies ?
I thought he might of died, never hear of him anymore. Liv has worked well for those guys. 🤡
Depends on the lie
Hi bounce clubs are a nightmare on hard ground.

So in Texas with hard tight lies, which bounce and loft combination would be best just to get a reasonable result?
