Love it
When I took a bunch of lessons from a golf pro, he had pretty much a blank canvas to work with. I had not done much golfing. What I appreciated was him building my golf swing piece by piece. The first lesson was just the first foot of the takeaway to a foot after contact and we built from there. My swing is still pretty OK because of his lessons, but your videos often bring me back to those lessons as you often concentrate on small parts of the swing that is either common issues or that mimic what the top pros do. Thanks Eric for bringing us top notch golfing content.
Yes. I use that position, P2, in my pre-shot routine and then rotate up. That helps me feel the shaft angle as it travels to P4. I can then mimic that in the actual swing. On the range, I’ll even hit balls starting from the P2 position. The concept seems to also help me keep my arms in sync with my body.
I always see the Faldo drill like done here explained by golf coaches. But rarely in the same video do I see them explain how to get to that P2 position in the normal full speed golf swing. Sure I can do this drill all day but i also need to know how to properly get there.
Anyone who talks about the golf swing as different positions and tells you to put the club into those positions has to be ignored.
Wrist movement is fluid throughout the swing. Don’t listen to this guy who’s trying to resemble a robot it seems. Who the h cocks their wrist at the beginning and then holds it throughout their swing?
I bought a prosendr. $170 for a piece of plastic is absurd, but it works so well. It really helps you get into the flat lead wrist postion, and keep it through the swing.
Excellent illustrations of positions that we should be in at the various points in the swing. First two comments were way off base and don’t understand that these are building blocks or essential components of a good, repeatable, accurate, golf swing. Much appreciated!
