“The View” host Whoopi Goldberg issued a warning about President Donald Trump and his administration to the show’s watchers this week.
That warning? You could be next.
It came after “The View” crew discussed deportations by the president and ICE, and began to discuss reports that some of those who have been arrested and deported had no criminal record and were not given due process. During the segment, they placed a clip of Trump “border czar” Tom Homan promising that “legal immigrants are perfectly safe.”
“This is what he said,” Golberg said. “This is now what they’re doing. And yes, this is on us because the next one they take could be you.”
Co-host Anna Navaro also took Homan to task saying that everything he said was “a complete and absolute lie.”
“I would say to Tom Homan, if in fact they are Tren de Aragua (gang members), and if in fact they are hardened criminals, then why don’t you release their names and release their crimes?! Navaro said. “Show us the evidence! Are we a country of rules, and laws, and evidence? Or are we a dictatorship?
“This is all being done for the purpose of cruelty,” she added. “It is all a political farce. Most of these people that they sent — or many of them — as quoting the government, do not have ties to Tren de Aragua. This is inhumane, it is disgusting, it is outrageous, it is racially profiling Venezuelans and Latinos.
“It is un-American.”
