With just over a month to go until London Marathon it is time to be honest about my chances for the race but also what has changed in my approach to training compared to Berlin Marathon last year where I finished in 2:25.
Throughout this video I will run you through what my training typically looks like BUT crucially what you could learn from my training to help you go further and faster this year.

Great video and extremely informative, funny and entertaining – pls no more piercings or tattoos (not a good look for a role model and when you grow up you will regret them – get some help now, mum/dad/bf would be a good start if they can be honest with you).
Love this! Is there any chance we could get a copy or a tutorial of that spreadsheet you use for tracking volume? 🙏🏻😂 Or is that something that your coach has put together in the training plan?
Thank you so much for the conversions, Phily!
Thanks for the conversion and sharing your experience. Greetings from Serbia 🙌
*Consitency at 8:49 sorry 😀
thanks for converting 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for the conversions!! Greetings from South Africa
I wish I could run at your pace, but for now, my easy pace is ~8:00/km😅
Discovered you recently as a mom of three (1, 3, 5yo) getting back into running and really loving it for the first time in my life. Nowhere near your pace but your approach and mindset have been really helpful for me. Training for a 10 miler in two weeks, with hopes of a marathon someday (maybe next year when my 1 yo isn't so needy lol), all things I never would have imagined a decade ago. Love the grind!
As a marathon runner, do you prefer the long runs? If not, which is your favourite kind of session?
Are you still talking in miles missy????🧐
Love the km conversoon!
Yes……..NO MORE MILES
just kms
Great video……….still so much miles talk though 😂
More thank yous for the km conversion from another km runner who struggles with the mile conversion especially with paces 😀
Yes, the km are very helpful ❤
As an American, you can just cut out the kilometers.
Thanks for including the km, so even I can understand!
Tks for converting miles to km phily
We appreciate the conversions xxx
Lovvvve and appreciate the kilometres…all the way from Perth, Australia 🙂
megadosing vitamin c works to shorten illness. i have an immune disease that makes me intensely sick from even the common cold. I take powder ascorbic acid every day, but when I feel a bug coming on I turn up the dosing to max. 5G dose taken over the course of a day will beat the brakes off a cold. biggest challenge to my training is getting sick. cheers!
I am from Brazil and am training for Boston Marathon. I absolutely love your content and appreciate the conversion to km!!!! Luv the grind!!!! 🫶🇧🇷
I have a question, what do you do if you need to do a long run on the treadmill? How does the treadmill differ for you?
stealing that alternating pace workout, thanks phily 🫡
Gif game is strong 💪 😂

Have your assistant work all the maths and conversions. Love your super honest presentation. Oh yeah, and I love the grind!

I am one of those people who converts all my training distance from miles to km and also my pace to min/km (and to speed km/h also), so I really really appreciate your effort for the km conversions.

Why do have longer ish warmups and cool downs?
Thank you for converting into km!
I did my first 100 mile/160K week recently resulting in a fair few injuries and having to pull out of the marathon I was signed up for. My body was used to sitting around 100-120K a week so the extra load wasn’t a good idea. Live and learn I guess slowly increase distance and intensity
