Tiger Woods has spoke out on his romance with Donald Trump Jr’s ex-wife for the first time. The golf legend confirmed he is in a relationship with Vanessa as he made it Instagram official.
He made sure to issue a plea to his fans while debuting his romance with a string of cosy snaps. Tiger, 49, and Vanessa, 47, first started out as friends before their relationship became something more. They had reported started seeing each other before Thanksgiving, but decided to keep it under wraps.
The pair live just 20 minutes apart from each other in the wealthy Florida enclave of Palm Beach. It is not either of their first high profile romances as Tiger was previously married to Elin Nordegren while Vanessa wed Donald Trump’s son in 2005 until their split in 2018.
Their decision to enter the spotlight together saw Tiger share a series of photos with Vanessa to his 3.5million followers. Tiger and Vanessa posed together with their arms around each other and smiled at the camera. The other photo showed them more relaxed as Vanessa snuggled into the golf star’s chest as they relaxed on a hammock.

Tiger’s gushing message said: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together.” However, he added a plea to his followers and wrote: “At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
Both Vanessa and Tiger have children who attend The Benjamin School – Vanessa’s daughter with Donald Trump Jr. , Kai, 17, and Tiger’s kids Charlie, 16, and Sam, 17.
It is Vanessa’s first high-profile romance since her split from Donald Trump Jr. in 2018, which ended in an uncontested divorce. Vanessa initiated the proceedings in March 2018 in New York City, with Page Six reporting at the time that they had been living “separate lives”.
The outlet quoted a source in 2018 saying: “The problems have been there for a long time, the couple had hoped to stay together during the president’s time in office, but it is getting harder to resolve their issues.”
The pair were first introduced by mutual friends who played matchmakers, leading to their first date. In 2004, Donald Jr popped the question to Vanessa, a model and actress at the time, with a dazzling $100,000 engagement ring.
They tied the knot at Mar-a-Lago in November 2005, a wedding that was almost derailed by Storm Wilma’s wrath. But it wasn’t just the weather causing a stir; the event also marked one of the few times Donald and his new bride Melania crossed paths with his ex-wife Ivana.

Vanessa chose to step away from the limelight, focusing her energy on raising their children who were all born within a seven-year span. The couple parted ways in 2018, with Donald Jr moving on with former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, now serving as President Trump’s Ambassador to Greece.
However, last year saw him romantically linked to West Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson. The duo made their relationship public in December 2024, following his father’s election victory.
Tiger has had a very wild love life before meeting Vanessa. He was married to ex-wife Elin between 2004 and 2010, and the pair had two children, Sam and Charlie. But in November 2009, a story broke that he had been having an affair with a New York City nightclub hostess called Rachel Uchitel.
Tiger tried to shut the accusations down before the story went public and is said to have put Elin on the phone with Rachel – but his wife did not believe her story. Elin discovered another woman, Jaimee Grubbs, who she contacted. The discovery of Tiger’s allegedly infidelity saw Elin reportedly throw his phone at him and chase him outside with a golf club.
The golfer got into his car and crashed it, and when it was found the two back windows had been smashed. He was knocked out for six minutes and Elin said she had smashed the car’s windows to get him out of the car. The couple refused to cooperate with police interviews and within two weeks, 14 women had come forward to say they had slept with Woods during his marriage.
