I thought my putting was solid… until this tour-proven drill exposed my biggest weakness. 😳 With the help of Fredrik Lindblom (follow him @FredrikandHannah) we analyzed my stroke using advanced data and discovered some major flaws—inconsistent path, poor center contact, and a crazy fast tempo. 🚀
We built a custom putting station, worked on tempo control with a metronome, and tested lag putting drills used by the Swedish National Team and took on Luke Donald’s infamous 20 putt challenge.

Love the Luke putting drill, going to put this in play, thanks!
This was great. I was introduced to the 4-5-6-7-8 drill last year. I never got 14
⚓️ is not cool
Nice 🚢 ⚓️ …
If you have a LAB putter how is your face open/closed, I thought it would always return? I’m confused
Great video, thanks.
What did you mean by quiet eye , back of the ball?
Where can I find the pdf for the drills ? Loved the video
Awesome stuff. Haven’t seen the lag putting one.
The only thing about the Luke drill is he says he intentionally randomizes the distance to make it more realistic (7, 5, 4, 6, 8… then totally change the distance order on the next hole)
Really simple but really hard!!
Love these drills. I love the variance in the drills. I think hitting the same putt over and over doesn't really do a lot. The variance really helps with green reading practice since you're constantly going through your routine. It should help cut down your routine as well since you're doing it over and over again. Lots of plusses.
I always used the Jim Furyk 3-6-9 drill. One thing that I personally had happen with me is getting caught up in all the technical stuff. Worrying about the stroke being straight or the tempo being right on. Am I opening the clubface too much or did I close it too fast. Once I got away from that my putting instantly improved. A proper 2:1 tempo is 75 beats and I love the metronome for practice. I think the proper tempo is subjective to the individual as long as the stroke has good rhythm. Think of Nick Price versus Ernie Els. Good Rhythm for both but entirely different tempos. Consistency is the key. I firmly believe that the stroke really doesn't matter much as long as you can roll the ball and start it on your intended line with the speed you wanted. Bobby Locke was notorious for hooking everything including his putts. Billy Mayfair was a cutter. The key with both of them was consistency. They did the same thing.
Great information here. Honestly the Mezz takes some misses and wobbly starts right off the card.
Thank you guys for having me on the channel! Honestly very impressive performance on the drills👊
great videos keep it up
Ah Cordie, I'm laughing with you not at you. When I tell a student there's lots of room for improvement, I'm usually saying it half in jest. But Fredrick was dead serious. Anyway, that's why I love being a golf performance coach. By doing these two simple drills, it's easy to see where your putting game will improve the most. When you said you lived in Minnesota, I just assumed you were American. Are you from Europe, or Canada or something? The reason I ask is because you said you'd rather play for the European team at the Ryder Cup.
Nice drills. Love that I can take something actionable from this video. Great job.
That’s a solid set of practice drills. Thanks for the video.
