ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If it’s a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

NOBODY understands the mechanics like Danny!
Good video again, lots of good tips and drills, using that box for alignment, nice. Not sure I saw your swing speed? Prob would be helpful and satisfy the curiosity. Thanks again, stay in the short grass .
This is an EXCELLENT video…now on my way to my basement hitting mat with an empty box…thanks !!!
Great Visualization exercise using the Box. Would you also this for IRONS? Thanks
I love the box visualization drill. Does this concept also work with irons?
It’s all about the lead armpit. Manage that and you’ll manage the low point and the apex of the swing.
Thanks again Danny for your invaluable advice and knowledge. I’ve been watching you for only a couple of years but have learned so much from you in that time.
Let's freaking go 😎🏌️
Going out to try this straight away. Very exciting
Hi Danny, is it the same for the irons or do you maintain the hands in front of the club head.
Great another driver tip
Box drill was super !
Tks millions.
Great approach and video. Please confirm this approach applies to sand play– aligned shaft & low point. But slightly different with iron play with its more hands forward to compress the ball (not shaft aligned)– but the low point management is the same.
One more great video! Danny, I have been using this since your other video on iron, and everyone should watch it. My problem is that when a fairway wood follows this excellent hit, pushing up the lead hip causes me to top the ball. Does it mean I should play the ball more backward in the stance?
Such a good drill!
Ok for the left hip going back in the downswing. What does the right hip do at the same Time :forward or laterally ?
Danny after watching a few of your videos I played the best round of my life, and I have been playing for 20 years. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in the simplest way possible.
Danny, the box drill was a PERFECT complement to last week's lesson about early pressure on the lead foot. These tips have helped me achieve, for the first time, some real catapult action in my swing. Thanks so much!
Danny, fantastic explanation and demonstration of how to hit a driver and a drill to help you out. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Gold! Pure gold! As always.
Mind blown! I’m going to watch this again and work on this. Thanks Danny!
Danny, if you move the ball forward to help a student get a greater launch angle, wouldn’t they hit the ball lower on the driver club face where the loft is lower?
Danny. People must watch this and the last three videos. Watch and watch again and listen. I’ve been driving the best ever. But inadvertently did what you’ve been explaining. Irons had moved to bring very average. I watched a video again and this time properly listened. Then light bulb moments When I realised why driver was going so well irons then 👍👍👍😱. 1. Rhythm and movement. 2. It’s really not a turn of the hips and shoulders. It’s what you’ve explained and 3 coupled with that the way you put weight over left(lead foot) heel and get those hips out of the way. Not a massive turn. Yesterday. Wow. It was like someone else was playing my shots. But been stuck in getting those big big turns. Which is what you see the pros do but actually they are not. Great stuff. Add in the elbow and wrist posi (wow again) and I’m booking my place on the senior tour 😂😂😂😂
Another fantastic lesson, thanks Danny!
GREAT explanation, good sir! Can't wait to incorporate on the range.
Dan.your right foot is back a touch?? Closed stance?
Then the water skiers catch the boat, and then you have to let go of the rope. Or bad times😂😂. Have I experienced this. Perhaps 😂😂
Perfect timing I have been struggling with slicing my driver recently will be trying this out
Danny! Thanks for a smashing good Driver instruction vid. I leave it at this… Brilliant!
I started doing this naturally. I know understand thanks to the video how to correct my left pull shot. I’m going to try this drill with a box. Thanks Danny
How do you adjust this drill for your irons?
Haha I was hotting it great at the range after watching/rewatching this. An older lady commented on how well I was hitting it. I quickly explained & demonstrated these moves – she then hot 4 out of 5 drivers better than she had all day. She now considers me a genius! Lol. Superb!!
Just tried the Box Drill in my basement and it is very helpful- can’t wait to take it to the range. I am wondering could this drill be adapted for irons?
Like the content but damn could have got this across in 5 min
👍👍👍
That drill with the box was so cool. I went into thinking I drive it well and my shaft is going to be parallel. It was…not!
Such a good explanation and action plan. Geometry is everything. Hopefully I can remember what to practice and get back some distance but, as a low/ flat hitter, include height. Or just watch the video every day for a week or so 😅
Danny i can’t complement you enough, I’m a 20 handycap and been following your advice for a while in a golf simulator, I’m in Barcelona right now and in my fourth day I’m playing my best golf ever and actually got a complement from my friend who is a 3 handycap for great playing, I want to give you’re videos alot of credit for that.. one of my bucket list is having a lesson with you and playing a friendly match, i am from Iceland so it’s pretty far fetched but you are my golf idol this moment because of your terrific youtube channel
Two weeks in a row, Danny! Tips that can go to the course. Thanks.
The box is a little bit of genius.
Simple as that, brilliant lesson again Danny. See you all soon ❤️
This is brilliant Danny thanks very much! I presume this concept is the same for irons as well albeit ball position will be different? Box position could be adapted for Irons…Thanks John
Danni, I’m an older female playing with flex shaft…would this mean the club head will be behind the shaft at the low point (assuming I have the shaft aligned with the box and my shoulder)…should I therefore place the ball a little further back,if this is the case?
Very interesting. I'm going to try this. I'm curious how my being right-handed but left eye dominant will affect my view of the ball.
That's exactly how I set up with the driver. Nobody taught it to me it, just felt right and worked.
Right down to face slightly open when it's 6 inches behind the ball. Traditional golfers look at me and scratch their heads.
Thanks for the reinforcement Danny.
Probably one of the best driver videos I have seen, and I’ve seen many
Great lesson, Danny! Thank you so much!!!
I freaking hit my driver straight….problem is the short game…specially the putting and the chips shots. Lets get real…drive for show and put for dough. Give us the short game on course tips…put it out there and out of the sim.
Can we see you play 18 unedited?
Does this work for a 3 wood off the tee as wwell?
