  1. Probably the best match in his career.
I will be surprised if he ever repeats a kind of game like this

  2. Indiscutible y merecido triunfo… otro jugador más que ya le encontró la técnica para ganarle a Alcaraz.

  3. If Medvedev, Shelton, Musetti, Dimitrov, Fritz, Ruud get knocked out early in the tournament, no one says a word. But if Carlos loses, everyone starts advising him. 😅

  4. Alcaraz has a lot of work to do on his discipline and the technical stuff of his game. The numbers of unforced errors more than doubled Goffins.. it was about 23 to 50.. he is too impatient on the court and tries to be too flashy, to create highlight winning shots.. he should learn to put the ball in play more until he gets a higher percentage shot.. this is why Sinner has taken over when alcaraz seemed like the better player at first.. sinner is very technical

  5. This is yet another prime illustration of WHY Carlos struggles to win matches with anything remotely resembling the consistency of Sinner, and what is more: can’t even live up to the World No: 3 Ranking he is currently!! 😳😳 instead of improving & moving forward inexorably, Carlos instead seems to be stagnating, and if you ask me…probably needs to hire a better coach as well as psychologist in order to realise his full potential, coz he sadly is only making up the numbers currently!! 😞😞

  6. He really need to look at his coaching staff and decide wud he wants to stick with them. Ever since the Olympics he hasn’t gotten any better. His serve has gotten worst. His fitness is questionable. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

  7. Alcatraz es muy bueno cuando quiere pero inocente para jugar,no aprovecha los espacios que el oponente le da,si hiciera eso llegaría hacer un leyenda, tiene todo para serlo, no mantiene su mejor nivel

  8. A lot of new fans to the sport think this spells something bad for Alcarez. It doesn't. Goffin might be past his prime, but he had an incredible day. And some years ago, this was the guy who got as high as #5 in the rankings, during a time when Djokovic/Nadal/Federer were still at the top of the game.

  9. I cannot believe people still not on board that Carlos needs a new coach. Just the way he construct points compared to what Sinner has become, its clear night and day.

  10. Now Goffin has a 2-1 record against alcaraz..go figure..his demeanor was perfect to take down Alcaraz..and his game 2as top notch..and hes got a 1-8 record against the goat.even nadal and fed rarely were glapped against goffin. Tells you the level the big 3 used to operate at..

  11. Next-gen demanded on-site coaching. They got it. Now, new players like Musetti, Alcaraz, etc are like video game characters, awaiting control input by their Coach so they can play the game. It's pathetic. it will be their undoing.

  12. Alcaraz won 4 GS before turning 21, but only the Alcaraz groupies believe he will easily get 25GS.
Boris Becker won 2 Wimbledon at 17 and 18 but he ended up winning just “only” 6GS.
Groupies please tink about that 😉

  13. All these losses for Alcaraz, Djokovic, Draper, Goffin, Will just pave the road towards him reaching even higher heights. He's not playing bad, but these players out of sheer experience can beat him, Goffin or Đoković, or Draper when the hunger is there although he has class and is a leftie. iMHO it'll just serve as a great lesson and make him even a better player, Carlos has everything a player can imagine. Having 4 slams at age 21 is insane, he'll get more for sure no matter how frustrating this is for the fans;)

  14. Amazing match from Goffin, his speed to the dropshots probably won him the match

  17. I knew this had the potential to be an upset. Goffin is no slouch. Comparing Alcaraz and Sinner to BIG 3 is a joke at this point. They will never be at the same level. A 36 year old Novak proved that by demolishing a peaking Sinner in front of his own Italian fans and straight setting him in Wimbledon.
