Make no mistake. Prime Yao was one of the greatest centers in NBA history. Shaq and Dwight recognizing Yao as on their level is telling. If it hadn’t been for injuries the Yao-T Mac Rockets imo would have won at least one ring.

Yao earned his respect in the nba thru his work ethics and humility. So big yet so skilled but never skips practice.
Yao was a 7'5" that could make midranges, had the Hakeem-like footwork and his biggest asset was that he could not be fouled, as he was an excellent FT shooter for a center, about 85%.

Shaq was immeasurable with his strength at his height. He muscled his way to the rim and it was dominate. Ming was the opposite of that. He had technique and he had that touch where he had a dozen methods of scoring where he could pull out the one he needs and be consistent…
