David Helman of FOX Sports joins AFR to react to the Saints hiring of Kellen Moore as their head coach. Helman covered Moore during his time with the Cowboys. What are the Saints getting in Moore as a coach, leader, and offensive mind?

  1. People not realizing Kellen has way more accolades than any other coach that was available not named Pete Carroll

  2. Brady, Kingsberry and McCarthy were never offered the job. Kellen Moore was the only person offered the job.

  3. I lived in his area. His father was a very successful coach in a small town, won several state titles. This guy has been around playoff football environment since about 4 years old as ball boy. He broke several state records as prep QB. He had no college offers (“too small”), someone talked Boise State into giving him a chance and he won 50 games in 4 years including wins over Georgia, Oregon twice, Virginia tech and TCU when they were top 15. He is like a nerd genius with football. He is young enough to relate well to players. I think NO picked a good one. Football will be fun again in NO. They should have a winning record next year and maybe playoffs.
