In the first episode of the PGA TOUR’s Pathway to Progression player development series, we take you inside the three-day Junior Development Program Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill at Finley Golf Club. Junior golfers are honing their skills with one-on-one training by Pro Ambassadors Shasta Averyhardt, Andrew Walker and Everett Whiten Jr. With additional instruction from national junior coach T.D. Luten. This first junior development experience of the 2024-25 season not only includes instruction but also an 18-hole competition to test their game.
Through the Pathway to Progression program, we aim to motivate and inspire the next generation of golfers from diverse and underrepresented communities. In alignment with our APGA Tour partnership and the Bridgestone Collegiate Development Program, Pathway to Progression will provide a path for talented junior and collegiate golfers from diverse backgrounds to continue their development and chase their dream of becoming professional golfers. The PGA TOUR is excited to provide these enhanced competitive and training opportunities in development.

Asian Americans are the highest earning ethnic group in America. In what way is do they have any barriers
I love that golf is finally focusing on under-represented communities. This is what it truly means to grow the game
speed training in high school? lol. just hit it down the middle.
this some dei bs
DEI bs
So fire
Looks pretty racist, does the pga offer programs for white children as well?
DEI at work in the PGA don't give it to anyone they need to earn it.
People saying this is DEI are just something else. So yall think these are just random guys who were selected on the streets to attend this program. Dont you think about the fact that they have worked hard enough from where ever they came from to be selected to participate in this program. Do you guys say DEI when sponsor exemptions are given to players to play in tour events. Yall think the world works in binary!!
Love to see it!
The more people who play the better!
I started very young and has been the one constant my life. Teach a kid how to play and you might give them a life long hobby. Golf is special that way!
