The PGA TOUR heads to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida this week for the THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass looking to extend his legacy and become the first golfer to three-peat at THE PLAYERS. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy is hoping to recreate some magic at in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. McIlroy, winner of this year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, captured the THE PLAYERS in 2019, but has had a bit of a mixed bag at TPC Sawgrass since then. With over 75 yards added, THE PLAYERS will be decided over the 7,352 yards that THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass has to offer. Alongside last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Russell Henley, other notable players in the field include Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Åberg, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler with a total of 48 of the world’s top 50 playing in this year’s event.

I love when the announcers are wrong … they say a shot sounded thin or mishit , and the ball ends up like 10 feet from the hole from like 230 yards out 😂 they said “it needs to go!” Or “it needs to get up” and they were wrong every time

Rory is so off and on its wild to follow him playing solid recently though!
His putter was on a lucky streak. So many lip ins that could’ve just as easily not gone in. I hope he wins tomorrow though because he needs some momentum going into Augusta where he can hopefully clinch the grand slam.

I went bed, at the 14th, I find Rory so boring, it's OK seeing these highlights all bunched together but live play is like pulling teeth. As for what people are saying about winning this and pebble, I think that will put to much pressure on Rory, I hate to say it but I don't think the golfing gods want him to have a green jacket

Been a minute since we had a good players tournament. Rory's putter was not with him. Heart breaking for Spaun to come inches for a win at the 18th. He was a machine for 4 days.
