Golf enthusiasts can dust off their clubs and hit the greens as Gardner Golf Course is set to open for the season on Friday, March 21, weather permitting.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The course, located at 5101 Golf Course Road in Marion, will begin accepting tee times, which are required and can be booked online at PlayCedarRapidsGolf.com.
The clubhouse will open daily at 7:30 a.m., with the first tee times starting at 8:00 a.m.
Golf carts will be permitted unless course conditions are too wet. Golfers should check with the pro shop or starter each day for the latest cart restrictions.
Ellis Golf Course to Open Soon
As spring progresses, preparations are underway for the opening of Ellis Golf Course.
The official opening date for Ellis will be announced on the Cedar Rapids Golf website and social media channels.
Season Passes and Punch Cards Available
For golfers looking to make the most of the season, season passes and punch cards are now available for purchase.
These passes can be used at all three City of Cedar Rapids golf courses and can be bought through the following options:
Online In-person at Ellis Clubhouse (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.)In-person at Twin Pines Clubhouse (open daily from 7:30 a.m. until dusk)
Book Early for Opening Weekend
Golfers are encouraged to book tee times in advance, particularly for opening weekend, as demand is expected to be high.
