When it comes to commonalities in the golf swing, it can be difficult to get coaches to find much agreement as to the things that ALL good players demonstrate universally.

However, in recent years, since Stack&Tilt redefined the fundamentals of golf, it has become much more commonplace to see golf coaches of any persuasion advocating for BETTER LOW-POINT control as THE NUMBER ONE skill that would help all golfers to improve their game.

So as it’s so important, it would seem like a great place to start your practice, and in this video with @JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton , we’ll show you EXACTLY how to practice this skill until you have solid contact on LOCKDOWN! 💥

Following this video, you’ll want to make sure you check out Jess Frank’s channel as we have a follow-up video which shows you how to add more speed and power to this swing, without compromising the consistency of your low-point control (contact).

  1. I was always warned away from stack and tilt. Not anymore. Great instruction and nice clear drills. Thank you.

  2. What a pleasure it was doing these videos and teaching our Master Class Stack and Tilt clinics! You’re an expert teacher Rob of the highest quality! Our attendees for those two days are raving about their experience and how good they got in just our 1/2 day clinic! Let’s do it again!

  3. Stack and Tilt has been the best thing for my ball striking consistency. I wish it had been available decades earlier, and I wouldn't now be a 60 year old with a good golf swing!

  4. Great lesson!! I can’t wait to get back on the golf course. I have been working with a stack and tilt golf swing for about a year. I have spent the winter just reienforcing the feeling of weight forward rotating my body to ensure I don’t go back to weight shifting.

  5. In the Stack and Tilt book by Plummer and Bennett they talk about a tip for too much in to out is to try and keep right leg straight throughout swing. I noticed mine breaks down and leads towards target drastically. Gonna try your p3-p8 drill with a straight right leg today. Cheers guys

  6. Rob & Jess ? Awesome ! Hope you'll have a beer together at the local pub. I wish I could be there ! Life's too short to play bad golf (Tom Saguto). thank you guys I'm getting better to this game !

  7. I’m loving your teachings guys! Can I ask a couple of questions? (1) Rob, the Wrench video suggests 100% weight forward and another is Step on the Can. Do those conflict? Jesse was 60% weight forward. Is that the % to strive for? I like bumping the hip at address. (2) how strong a grip do you advocate? Thank you!

  8. I just had the pleasure of attending the half-day clinic with these two fine coaches and gentlemen. I had my questions answered and was able to fine tune my S&T swing with their guidance. I will return next year. Thanks. Randy

  9. Rob, Nick Jess & Tom Saguto are the only guys that I watch now, can't imagine swinging a club any other way.
Hope Nicks still doing videos Rob?

  10. Being a fan of Stack and Tilt for ages I’ve always had problem with moving hips forward on downswing. This is a much more complicated move than it appears and I’ve never been able to master it. Help!

  11. Had a great time learning from these two last weekend! True professionals and awesome people. They cut through a lot of the fluff and get to what matters.

  12. I have been working on my Stack & Tilt swing for over a year. Finally, last fall 2024 it started sinking in after many years of ball sweeping instead of pinching the ball between the club and turf. Rob Cheney, Jess Frank and Tom Saguto. AND watch the women golfers, 100-120 pound bodies who hit the crap out of the ball. Straighten the right leg on the backswing and avoid back problems.

  13. Thank you. Excellent video. I wouldn't call it epidemic. I have always tried to "punch" the ball straight, because for me is hard to hit "thru the ball" instead of "at the ball". As an ex-athlete, I just enjoy the sport, the challenge, and learning. It's funny I used to say: golf is the easiest sport in the World. Ha!
