Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., have been in the news as of late, because the two are officially dating.

But, don’t think this relationship will go to the altar in a jiffy. A “source close to” the couple tells People magazine in a report published on Monday, March 17, that their relationship is “very casual” right now.

According to the source, Vanessa, 47, and Woods, 49, “have a connection through their golf-star kids,” being his son Charlie, 16, and her daughter Kai, 17.

“Their kids are going places in golf and both very disciplined about the sport,” the insider told the publication. “They have that in common.”

An additional source “close to Trump” tells People that Vanessa’s relationship with someone like Tiger is not surprising at all.

“Vanessa has always gone for guys who are either well known or have something big going for them,” the insider tells People.

“She is comfortable with that, but she’s not a woman who wants to be in the limelight,” the insider adds. “She is not a shrinking violet but is discreet and smart and a good mother. That has come first in her life.”

The two have something in common besides their golf-playing children, too. According to a third insider, Vanessa, “like Tiger,” is “interested in charity work” and focusing on raising her kids the best way that she can.

On Thursday, March 13, People confirmed that Woods and Trump had been dating under the radar for several months. The Daily Mail first reported the relationship.

Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. for 12 years. She filed for divorce from him in 2018 and finalized the divorce in 2019.

A source tells People that Donald Trump Jr. is “cool with” her new romance with Woods.

Both Charlie and Kai are scheduled to compete in the Junior Invitational in South Carolina on Wednesday, March 19. The tournament is set for the Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville.
