  1. Hal baby…what a competitor…and his caddie "talk" was very emotional coming off 17…he too deserves being in the painting as shown in clubhouse…well done PGA

  2. @1:36 it's revealed to us that Hal had a rare disorder that made him lactate in stressful situations and he's unfazed by it!

  3. I remember seeing him and his caddie on the range practicing right next to me at Shreveport Country Club when I was a kid. Didn’t even realize how lucky that was just felt like another day at the club as a kid.

  4. I remember watching this LIVE pulling for Tiger until that shot! As hot as Tiger was at that time to go toe-to-toe with him in his Sunday Red and WIN!! What an amazing win and memory for Hal – and for the fans!

  5. Huge Tiger fan. I hated every player who chased or beat him on Sunday, especially the big tournaments or majors…except this one. It was a great moment that even I could appreciate.

  6. Great to see you again Hal, hey do you remember when you guys were on the Ryder Cup team back in the 80s and weren’t crazy about the English course conditions and rough ? Captain Tony Jacklin retorted publicly that if you guys didn’t like it, then go back to your McDonalds restaurants and beautifully manicured stadium courses🤣

  7. Hal was the right man for the job that day . He and his caddie had a great relationship too !
I was lucky enough to be watching this on tv that day . Had plans to golf but , it was raining in Indiana . I've used , "be the right club today" , more than once ! 😂❤

  8. That’s how good Tiger was. 25 years later, to have edged him out one tournament is a talking point he’ll take to the grave. This would just be another forgotten title otherwise.

  9. I met Hal in 2001 at a store in Dublin, OH for the Memorial Tournament. Really nice guy. For anyone to win a high-level golf tournament featuring Tiger Woods in 2000… that's an accomplishment! Tiger was THAT good.
