"admit it you wanted Jimmy to win" gotta love SH. Class act. Great to see Dan working his magic with him👍
Watching these live lessons has really changed my short game. I played 2 bunker shots recently, in competition, that I'd never have believed I could play. It's such a buzz and that's after playing for 37 years.
As a stressed out and tired American, I haven't really been able to play any golf over the past year. But, I still love watching Dan's tutorial videos. It is calming and informative all at the same time.
Another demonstration as to why Dan's channel is the best golf channel on YouTube. Great video, thank you for posting
Holy crap im 20 mins in and seemed like he was almost sorted…figuring lesson was almost over so i tap to see and the lesson is almost 50 mins more ! 👍🏼👍🏼i need to segment one of these full lessons ..so i watch one segment before each range session to ingrain one release at a time ✌️🏌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I don’t even play golf but found this vid brilliant !! Hendry is doing amazing with his channel and is actually a great host despite his perceived persona during the height of his career. He deserves his success. Thank you
stephen is the talented player, he got it right almost every time Dan told him 🎉
Travis Scott golf shoes are not allowed to go in the bunker surely!
Disliked when he was winning everything , loved ever since.
over that chipping distance, why would you not use an 7 iron or an 8iron aren't you supposed to get the ball rolling asap?
Who's the Dan Grieves of long game? I feel like I got my short game coach here, and need a long game coach on his level.
Yet again awesome video Dan. Thank you both for all the info and taking the time to do this.
Another great video with loads of information to take on board, he inspires confidence and just cant wait for the next video. Dan you are the best 👍
Attended Steven's 18th birthday party (looong time ago), great guy, but why would a 2 handicapper not understand 'bounce'?
Loved it. I follow snooker and now you've mixed it with my sport. Thanks Dan
What a valuable lesson. Watched every minute of it and haven't hit a golf ball in my life.
Started to revert back to old swing towards the end…. Great lesson though and something to apply on the course.
Amazing Dan, brilliant content. Wish you’d been around 25 yrs ago!! Watching you has transformed my short game. THANK YOU!
Another great video thanks Dan. Shocked that such a low handicap doesn't understand bounce
get dan on the practice table stephen win number 8
Decent sportsman!
Two of my all-time heroes in one video with world class explanations all for free. Doesn‘t get any better. Thx very much Dan (and Stephen)!
Thanks Dan. You mentioned earlier while doing release one with the 9 iron the ball lands one third and runs out two thirds.. is there a rule of thumb for other clubs and wedges and I assume that rule changes for release 2..
Dan the short man
Great video. I love the tee peg drill in another video, wow what a difference.
Dan, love the videos and I got the book for Xmas, loving it! Not sure if you've seen yet, but Tiger has just done a vid with Barstool, and when they're chipping it looks like he's promoting a bit of a release zero! Can we get your thoughts/ analysis on this?
I wish I could give 100 likes to this video.
Hi Dan- great video again. I’ve just been playing a few months and find your vids really helpful, only thing is I’ve only got a standard PW in my bag (and the other standard clubs before a smart arse comments 😂) I was wondering could you do a quick 5 mins on around the green in different scenarios but just with a standard loft pitching wedge? And when to use little 8 iron bump and runs? I’m asking a lot haha but maybe others will find it useful. thanks!
I like your short game chipping technique’s. Thank you! 😊
Thanks!
Stephen hendry just sounds so grounded
Amazing tips and results!!! Thoroughly enjoyed this
I wish I could just play these “Simple” chips every time.
I hit the ground behind the ball every other shot at least
Hey Dan, I’ve heard you talk about clipping your pitch shots to get more spin on them and I’ve seen your tee drill to get the feeling. I have a launch monitor and I’m wondering if there is an ideal AoA you should see if you’re clipping the pitch shot properly? Looking to practice on the sim and knowing the AoA will help me get the numbers dialed in. Thanks Dan, enjoy all your content and your instruction is top notch!
Stephen, roughly the same age as you, followed your career over the years and admired how you’ve been able to achieve so much, well done. If you watch this video again you’ll see that you are still struggling to get the toe up on the back swing it makes sense what Dan is saying about the leading edge digging in
Super helpful video. Thanks!
Great to watch Dan all day so easy on the eye and explains so well …..LOve the Book too
I can't tell you the impact this video has had on my chipping. Just the advice to open up the club face on the way back has given me consistent strike and ball flight and I'm now getting a ton of spin, where previously every ball came out differently and none of the had any spin.
I shot 40 on the front 9 of my course last week (par 36, slope 131) thanks to getting up and down three times, I think that probably saved me 5 shots based on my previous short game performance. Backed that up with another very solid chipping round yesterday. Thanks Dan, thanks Steven, fantastic video.
That was an awesome lesson with great explanation throughout, anybody else think Stephen just wanted to stay, talk and learn more at the end there.
Watched this yesterday, then practiced on my simulator, went out on the course this morning (which was wet and boggy) and I can't believe how good it is. No chunks, no thins, just ended up short sometimes because of more spin than what I'm used to. Love this guy
My favourite snooker player. 😊 I'm 48yrs old so remember watching very well 😂
Great lesson 👍🏻
buddy is a 50 yo hype beast. let go
Do you play more golf than snooker these days stephen? That guy was excellent at coaching
i Loved this video from start to finish, there are so many types of shots players fear in the short game . probably the best info i have heard thinking there is no such thing as a bad lie you just have to know what shot to play. Stephen that was a craking bunker session i honestly thought Dan had his work cut out there but you went from 0- to 100 in a matter of minutes . Great video Dan thx for the content.
The bunker lesson section of this is fantastic. Really inspiring.
Watching Dan’s videos and reading his book has vastly improved my short game. Thank you Dan for sharing your knowledge.
What makes a great teacher is when they show you what's wrong rather than telling / showing you what is right . When you have a visual of the wrong position makes a huge difference
