Today’s video I review the Lazarus Hybrid. I have a regular shaft and it is 21 degrees of loft. I review this club outside and indoors and share data. Inside I compare it to my Srixon MK II hybrid. How will it perform? I hope you enjoy the review!

  1. I bought one on Amazon about 2 years ago, by biggest issue besides feel was the durability of the hybrid just after hitting a few shots the paint was beginning to fade, so returned it. Hopefully they improve the durability. Good review

  2. Thanks for the review MSH. I appreciate the value they provide as clubs are getting so expensive. I noticed on their site they have the 2 and 3h on clearance for $33 each. We also checked their Amazon store and found a 5w for $55 as a Christmas present for our son. We’re looking forward to those warmer temps starting next week. Think Spring and thanks again for reviewing this 4h from Lazrus!

  3. The hybrids at Giga Golf out of Tampa might be their best value clubs at $60 (along with some forged irons), with frequent sales. You can upgrade shaft and grip if you want- the basic ones are good, IMO- and do get shaft stiffness choice. Diamond Tour (in the Sub 70 family) did have $40 clone hybrids, but they unfortunately just raised prices by $20.

  4. There’s also Mazel hybrids that are in the same price range. Curious how they would do.
And I’ve tried the Lazrus golf balls and found them to be low quality as after the first couple of shots with the wedge it started to peel.

  5. Liked this content and the presentation. I have two Lazrus clubs, a 6 and pitching wedge, both Hybrids. I am the subscriber asking for 7 and 9 wood reviews, but with your ability I can see you staying with better player clubs. Like other people commenting on this, I can afford the Lazrus over big name products. Thanks again

  6. I love their hybrids. I have a full set of them, 3 through PW. Their drivers, on the other hand–I've had three and they all broke. Two of them the heads broke off and the other, the head dented. I got tired of warranty claims so I just cut my losses and got a used Cobra instead. I do not abuse my gear; two of the drivers broke on contact with a ball and the other one broke when I was putting the overly tight head cover back on.

  7. I've seen these advertised and wondering how they preformed. Thanks to you on the sim and some of you viewers on the durability I now have a pretty good idea. Thanks

  8. I lost my ability to hit my 5 iron and started trying 5 hybrids. Lazarus 5 hybrid is becoming my go to club for160 yard shots. Great out the rough.

  9. I have a full set of these, they are a little longer ( inches) than my iron set, they are dull feeling, but they go! I don’t use them any more. Thanks for the review

  10. Nice going! 3-P + 50-54-58 CB Wedges it's my hybrid set on this brand and been hitting'em for 2 years now. I carry only the amount of clubs depending on the course, and also found out most of the time playing with only half a set is so much fun.
I still hit it decent and I'm a straight hitter all the way but try fade/draw the ball as need it (some say it's harder to work hybrids, hehehe). Now, this 4H is my favorite along with my PWH. I'm not a long hitter, only go 220 total with extreme effort and no joy, so I JUST use it in the 190-200 total flag dist. range for accuracy. Slight wind, slope or water next to the green inside that range I shuffle my 5H or 3H instead. I do that with all my clubs (as anybody else I guess).
I play along this guy who uses the very same set BUT, he's way longer than me, mine and myself, so I know he sends his 3H 270 from the tee (way longer than my poor 235 3 wood!)
Rest to say, these are pretty good guns indeed. Can't say anything on driver and woods 'cause I use a different brand, but I see some in here had trouble with them, or at least with driver, I reckon. Cheers!

  11. I have been using Lazrus, the wedges for 2 years now and did try the hybrids too. For me, they preformed good but the over all reason I bought them is because of the prices. I don't want to buy any club for top dollar to just go…hmmm don't like it. So, my recommendation to other players is that if you want to experiment with wedges or other clubs, Lazrus is a good brand and quality to do that with, without spending a lot of money!

  12. Tried them last spring, the wedges were fine, I have them on a second set. The Hybrids I was not impressed and would not consider it at all. Had no pop, off the face even on perfect strikes did not n feel good. The shafts felt at least a flex weaker than mine.

Possibly for a complete beginner who should not spend allot of money . But in this case it feels on par with a lower priced package set.

  13. Thanks for the review with comparative numbers as usual. Sometimes cheaper clubs for guys like me are fine. I bought a 5 wood from maltby and it's my favorite club to hit. I have a nice set of Titleist 718 AP1 clubs. I'll have to look into Lazarus to replace my 5 iron. Maybe it will……resurrect my game (couldn't help it).

  14. MSH thank you for this. That is not a bad club at all IMO. What flex is your Srixon? It does not surprise me how the Lazarus shaft felt for you, but it seems from the numbers you made it work. Would you consider playing Lazarus? With the price of golf clubs, I would be willing to try them.

  15. I have 2 buddies who have Lazrus clubs and the really enjoy them. One has the hybrids to the pitching wedge, but it seems harder to control when the loft gets higher.

  16. Clubs are not great, 9 hybrid and driver both developed a rattle after 4 months. Lazrus have no interest in helping me out. Very unprofessional
