One thing you’re not factoring in is that’s last place of the people that were invited to Play. You have to be in the top 50 in the standings to even play in that tournament for the PGA since it’s a signature event. The LIV guys got paid regardless of how bad they played that’s why they left.
Payouts are crazy, the tour is rubbish. Course set up is stupidly easy, viewing experience is just worse, like so much worse, viewership is so low its hard to care about any of the events because they feel pointless. I want it to be good, but it feels so poorly executed.

Eric Cole didn’t finish last. 21 players missed the cut and got paid nothing. With no cut on LIV, they get paid no matter how badly they play
