I understand the USA had a $1US trillion in 2023 but there is a sound and rational way to respond to this issue! You form trade negotiation groups then go out and negotiate more advantageous trade agreements. However, the tariffs are self-defeating and not about the trade deficit in 2023 but more likely a cash grab to finance the extension of the 2017 Trump tax cuts which benefit the wealthiest Americans the most!
I believe Trump’s inherent narcissistic personality disorder, his age, the law fare trials against him along with the near death experience have taken a significant toll on his mental health. President Trump needs a mental health assessment for the sake of mankind! The people working with him should get outside the echo chamber and do what’s right at this time in history.
