The Sacramento State women’s golf team is driving the distance this spring. “Our ability to strike the ball, we can hit the ball at a high level and are as good as any team in the country,” Hornets Head Coach David Sutherland said. Sac State owns a 62-28-1 overall record through seven tournaments and ranks 48th in the country, its highest ranking in school history. “I think we have a team better than what we are ranked, and we’ve shown we can compete with most of teams in the country if not all of them,” Sutherland said.
