  1. I stand with Collin. If he doesn't want to talk that immediate moment, give him time. He can choose to talk about it the next event if he wants too.

  2. If my son or daughter loses a high school basketball game, I would give them space. We're talking about professionals who make millions and like it or not – you are a celebrity. It's great you signed autographs (And why did you do that?). Suck it up, give your interview.

  3. PGA could help themselves removing these two knuckleheads from the desk. Unbearable to listen to them.

  4. Colin doesn’t OWE the media anything, is correct. It is not a “dangerous “ precedent. Colin may feel some backlash, that’s his choice. He didn’t say I don’t owe anybody, anything. He said , I don’t owe the media. It’s like the media doesn’t even want to acknowledge that he spent time with the fans signing autographs after the loss.

  5. Personally, I think international golf professionals should take a stand and seriously consider boycotting events such as the Ryder Cup, President’s Cup; Solheim Cup and other events to show their support given the flagrant attacks by the American administration on once allied European, Canadian, and world nations. There are serious concerns about calls for annexation of sovereign nations (Denmark, Canada, Panama, etc); massive tariffs against just about every other nation, the turning away from Europe; the embracing of authoritarian regimes; and the erratic, aggressive behaviour of the president.

There are much more important things than golf during these unprecedented times.

  6. I have no issues with Collin's comments, but I do find myself disappointed in Rory's comments about YouTube golf and the sneering tone with which he talked about Champions Tour golf. I thought he was supposedly trying to grow the game. What B.S. that is. If he was trying to grow the game he would celebrate the Grant Horvat's and Fat Perez's of the world instead of essentially degrading them by his lack of interest.

  7. And I’m sure that if Morikawa had said something immediately after that was raw emotion that would have come across as negative these same guys that want him to speak would have been criticizing those comments. Chamblee was never in that spot because he never was in a spot to lose a big tournament like that. His sole PGA win was in Canada in a tournament that doesn’t even exist any longer. Who is he to tell viewers what someone is thinking, should be doing, or how to act. Narcissist.

  8. Fuck the PGA. And the press. He owes you nothing PGA tour it to blame for prices. No need they took the blood money

  9. Colin Morikawa is a class guy and a great player. The 3 guys on this panel, particularly the one in the middle are driven by jealousy of guys like Morikawa who actually win major championships.

  10. Good for Colin. These talking heads can shove it. Colin doesn’t owe them anything. He was doing a good deed signing autographs for kids. If someone does give an interview immediately after a devastating loss…fine. But not everyone does.

  11. If the media asked better questions, instead of rote ones maybe people would be interested in their interviews, I personally stop watching after the competition because the questions are so canned; How does it feel to win?, What does this win mean to you?, What happened out there ? What were you thinking as things went south?….Like anyone who has ever competed at anything we all already know the answer.

  12. I get both sides. But i do agree we with these guys to a degree. As a professional athlete and a top athlete in his respective sport u cant just talk to the media when u have a good round. U make millions off sponsors and the fans that pay lots of money to come watch the least u can do is answer a few questions after the round. For me its a respect thing. Even if it 2 questions u answer its presenting yourself to the fans and world that watch this sport. Just because u are a rich athlete and one of the best u dont get to pick and choose when u talk. Yes the guus on the panel talk shit but hey thats there job. By doing what he did he gave them more fuel to talk shit. Just walk up to the podium answer a few questions and leave. Just because u went to go sign shit after its almost like he did that so they would talk shit about what he did. Its just my opinion but to me athletes now a days are becoming more childish for stupid shit. And the media has become annoying. As professionals media is a massive part u just gotta put up with them. Every sport has to deal with shit media people but thats the world they live in. Id gladly take his spot making millions and answer questions after lol they dont realize jow good they have it in life.

  13. "Saying that I don't owe anyone anything is not being entitled, because if it was I would be an entitled brat." This is how guys like Morikawa think. It's non-sensical and clueless.

  14. As a fan I couldn’t disagree more with these old fogey he’s an adult he can do what ever he wants look at the pure fact they are talking about him not talking makes it a bigger story 😂 like he’s still doing media he can still talk about the round if he wants to skip one there’s clearly more going maybe he’s clearly emotional like give him a fucking break and some empathy I think that’s fucked and fans hate these old pundents are lame and boring wayyy more then they think pros are entitled

  15. I agree with Morikawa, he owes nothing, players have been forced to interview against their will for too long. Easy solution is players take a prize money cut if they refuse interviews, they're in control and have a CHOICE
