In this latest episode of the Obi One Podcast, John Obi Mikel reunites with his former Nigeria team-mate and a man he considers his ‘little brother’: Victor Osimhen.

Things have changed dramatically for the 2023 African Footballer of the Year since we last caught up with him having swapped Napoli for Galatasaray.

Back scoring goals, and more importantly, enjoying his football again, Osimhen opens up on life in Turkey, why he’s so grateful to Gala’s fanatical support and outlines his ambitions for the future.

Osimhen also reflects on his time at Napoli, the lessons he learned under boss Luciano Spalletti and why former team-mate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is ready to propel PSG to European glory.

  1. Thousands of people welcomed Osimhen at the airport that night at 3 AM. On just one YouTube channel (HTalks), 1 million people tracked his flight live, and across multiple other live streams, millions followed the plane's journey. This was also a first in Turkey's history! If Osimhen stays at Galatasaray, we will be extremely happy. But even if he transfers to another club, we, as Galatasaray fans, will always follow and love him forever.💛❤

  2. Chai each time I see Osimhen, I get goosebumps coz I still remember we balling without boots in those days, we hustled together in Lagos traffics. We did alot of jobs to survive and we still make out time to go and play ball in the evening. But life happened and he was picked and I wasn't but I'm so happy for him even though he can't remember me again 😢

  3. It's a shame you couldn't talk about Chelsea future…but it is understandable seeing the setting. I hope Victor gets to experience Chelsea soon…after exploits with Gala.

  4. Thank you for taking care of Osimhen Turkey. I can relate with what he's saying

Turkish people are the absolute best anywhere in the world. As a foreign Expat, the one place I felt the most welcome even sometimes more than my home country was Turkey. The friends I made years ago are still my friends till today.

  5. Please leave Galatasaray as soon as possible, you're in your prime, you should be playing in the best leagues of the world. Stay safe brother.

  6. Nigerians 🇳🇬 una too do sef, everywhere you guys are doing wonders , ah na wa ooo 😂😂😂😂
