  1. What if a Pro player gets himself injured using a wet or slippery floor? Li Dan way too beyond all that time wasting statistics . He wouldn't do that

  2. I didnt watch this game from the start. If just a bit of sweat, then just dry it with your feet. Thats normal but if too much, then mop. LD is good but he had used the dark arts before to break an opponents rhythm. Not sure here though

  3. that umpire is those people who will watch people die in the flood than to put their hands out to save them.

  4. He did the right thing as argueing with the umpire would result in him gettinga yellow card so might as well use his own towel to wipe the court clean as there wasn't any rulestating that they cannot use their own towel to wipe the floor

  5. 1. Umpire is the sole judge to determine whether the floor is wet enough to call for an attendant to the court. Purely watching the clip & judged the umpire was unprofessional is not on.
    2. Lin Dan went to use his own towel to clean the floor was disobeying the umpire’s instruction to use “his feet” to do so. He should have been given a yellow card. already. Why?
    3. Because the score was already 19-14, Lin was 5 points behind. Should the umpire “feel”, as clearly provided in the Umpire Manuel Two, that Lin was delaying the game in order to disrupt the momentum of the game, he had every right to serve Lin a yellow card.
    4. But Should the umpire have done that, of course, one could never further imagine what the end result would be,

  6. in this case… i agree with lin dan. if the court slippery, then u will get injured…

  7. The host should provide clear evidence of the wet floor before asking readers to label Lin Dan or the umpire wrongfully.

  8. Watched Lin Dan for many years and he never came across as a player that ever used dirty tactics he just used his quality so if it needs mopping then it should have been done

  9. Sweat on courts, flash cameras etc;
    Slipping on the court is painful!
    It’s umpires and other court officials responsibility to make sure that the court conditions don’t contribute to avoidable circumstances/mishaps. There are umpires who ask for the court to be mopped before the players do.

    Also, how is it that the ball kids in tennis retrieve balls quickly and the court moppers in badminton are so very slow? This needs improvement in the sport.

  10. This is why umpires should have play knowledge too. Any drop of sweat can cause so much slipping but u wont know unless u play regularly
