All the gear and no idea? Or do some guys just like a matching outfit that goes with their bike, regardless of whether they are pro riders or new to the sport? Not an important topic by any means, but we’ve heard lots of opinions on this over the years. Personally we think ‘all the gear and no idea’ is a bit harsh as it doesn’t matter if a dirt bike noob looks the same as a factory sponsored rider. But it is interesting that so many of us seem to ride in crappy gear and even subconsciously avoid the ‘matchy matchy’ look. In this exceedingly shallow vid Dallas from Traction eRag ponders why some of us do this…. Never heard of ‘all the gear and no idea’? Typically this expression is about when you see people (mainly middle aged men) walking around an amateur golf range with all the equipment that has probably set them back a small fortune, however, they haven’t even played before and completely useless, yet they have still spent all that money. Some dirt riders think the same thing happens with dirt riders… What do you think? Is there any credence to the all the gear no idea for dirt riders? Does it even matter… shouldn’t we just be riding no matter what we wear? 😊
