The Villages has a new director of executive golf maintenance.
Donald Jones was introduced Monday morning at the Project Wide Advisory Committee meeting at SeaBreeze Recreation Center.

Jones succeeds Mitch Leininger, who has moved on to a new position with United States Golf Association.
Jones previously worked as director of agronom at the Oakwing Golf Club in Rapides Parish, Louisiana.
In 2024, Villagers were incensed after golf courses had deteriorated and courses became “atrocious” and “unplayable.” Both PWAC and the AAC invested millions in golf course renovations as a result of the uproar.
