I agree with the ratcheting or the twirl of the club or hands moving clockwise from the players view. The thumbs I would guess are on the top of the grip with both hands parallel as well. My brain tells me with the thumbs on top of the grip it would be something one would have to work with to gain confidence. The hands also have to be parallel for the thumbs to be in the position you advocate. Yes very controversial!!! My question would be how stable is the club in the hands?
Bill I just field tested 30 balls with wedge… I had a great feel with the leveraged whiplike release of hands with no loss of control… Most in a beach blanket area-100yds

I have always felt the right dominant thumb was the enemy of my swing((A lot of pulls to the left)
Today the thumb was subservient-no pulls👍
