These are clearly not the "BIGGEST Cheating Scandals" in golf history. If they are, then golf is the cleanest sport of all time. Most are simply honest mistakes that show just how ridiculous some golf rules are!!!

My best friend growing up was in the British Open, and played a practice round with Gary Player. He said Player dropped several balls in the rough to the right of the 18th green so that if needed, he could "find" his ball in the actual tournament. Pretty clever, but clearly premeditated cheating.

The PGA and LPGA officials play loose with the rules. you can get a different rules from different official.

Cheating is usually defined as deliberate attempt to avoid the rules. These seem to be a violation of the rules and appropriately penalized.
As a everyday golfer , not even i have scored 127 in a round

in most cases the rules of golf suck –i know i,ve been playing golf most of my life -i,m 85. years old and i,ve seen many stupid rules.
TBF number 10 Walker, golf rules state that; A player may not give or seek advice to or from anyone except their caddie, partner or partner's caddie, this wasn't a team match so whomever told her was actually breaking the rules as well.
To this outsider, golf culture is really, really nasty……
There is a huge difference to the way rules are applied in my opinion, if you are a huge celebrity player that has won tournaments around the world the rules are not applied as rigorously as they are to journeyman players who are playing the round of their career only to be penalised for an infraction that players like Tiger Woods would get away with on more than one occasion, it is referred to as favouritism or rules bending, after all the PGA etc have to have celebrity players playing to get the ticket receipt money to pay the huge prize money they do, no celebrity players and ticket receipts go down and the PGA etc don’t have enough money to pay the players etc, just a vicious circle.
Montgomerie is supposed to remember exactly where his ball was? Ridiculous.
Some of these are not cheating. Some are mistakes and some are using the rules to your advantage.
This should be called Rules Violations not cheating. Sure some are cheating (Reed / Montgomery?) but others just didn’t understand the rules (Dustin) or made a genuine mistake (Roe and Parnevik).
