The Knicks are the 3rd-best offense in the league, despite featuring just one primary ball-handler. This detailed film breakdown & scouting report explores how Coach Tom Thibodeau built a modern, progressive offense with old school principles like cutting and offensive rebounding, and how it’s led by 3 former college teammates that were overlooked coming out of Villanova.

  1. Thibs is a flawed coach, but I really think he doesn't get enough credit sometimes for his offensive systems. Frankly, without Julius Randle stopping the offensive flow, he has been able to create something dynamic

  2. thank god MLB dropped ESPN so we don't have to hear SAS pretend like he knows what he's talking about anymore

  3. I’m not the biggest fan of SAS but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt I think he was astounded by skips take so he had to repeat what skip said to make sure he heard him right. Could be wrong tho never seen the episode

  4. great story but knicks is just mediocre team, no way they’re beating celtics and bucks, they’re lucky philly is unlucky and heat got disbanded, they might beat atlanta though, maybe!

  5. If i want to see a good production basketball analysis, of which i actually learn something instead of just seeing flashy graphs with crazy statistics, i go to this channel. Damn your videos are nice

  6. as a Nova fan, it doesn’t shock me that all of these guys are valuable NBA players. Jay Wright was such an amazing coach and produced many NBA ready players right out of college. Brunson being the “best” player, tho, is a bit of surprise to me. i always thought mikal or josh would be better suited in the NBA due to their size

  7. Why do I have to sit through 2 of the dumbest commentators on TV to get to one of the smartest on YouTube?

  8. Haven't watched ESPN in years. Ever since they got rid of highlights and focused on 'analysts' who don't know what they're talking about. That's why we have Youtube, Thinking Basketball, and Hoop Venue.

  9. I thought Ben worked for Espn… Someone there is not gonna like certain segments of this video😂😂

  10. I love when Thinking Basketball runs laps around these so called "NBA Analysts" and call them out for their BS. As always, crushed it out of the park with great analysis (unlike some other fools).

  11. Appreciate you for sticking to the seat geek sponsorship and not resorting to any sports betting sites

  12. Great breakdown. It's so refreshing to see a team actually running offense beyond five out, one-on-one, drive and kick. Now if we could get NBA teams to actually run plays at the ends of quarters and games we might be moving toward a watchable product.

  13. This "Villanova does not have" example makes a succinct summary of the value of the great majority of NBA-focused commentary in traditional/mainstream media. That is: a big spluttering raspberry.
