Dang!!! These look like nice irons
They sure are purrty
they seem to fly so low eved the wedge
"That's the farthest I've hit a 4-iron"
It's a 19-degree 2-iron, of course you hit it far!
I've got a set of Ping G10s. Nice clubs. There's a 42-degree loft, ~64-degree lie, 35.75" length club, and it's the 9, not the PW. The extra "wedge" when the PW doesn't have the same length is a dead giveaway. The vanity numbering drives me batty. You can sell me a line of..uh…stuff about launch angle and descent, but when the loft and length and lie are identical to my old set, but the number is different, I'm not buying it.
Credit where due, the lie angles aren't the same, the long irons are essentially green dot, or white dot (2-3 degrees upright).
These are nice and remind me of the Wilson D7 forged irons
4-pw at Carlsgolfland $1050, not sure that's an almost perfect score for value ?
these lofts are so strong. comparable to ZXi4, Qi, T350.
This video is brought to you by Callaway
I'm sure they are great, but at this point, golf has gotten so expensive when I see reviews of products like the newest line's from Callaway, Taylormade, Ping, Titleist, etc etc etc. I usually just know the product isn't in my range so I don't really need to watch. I'll be back in 2029 to see if they are something I should grab lol.
Great video review as always! I have been enjoying the video angles with the assistance of your guy behind the camera. Keep up the great work!
I predict the next golf fad will include irons with no numbers on them. The consumer will be able to choose any number they want on the bottom of the club…because every 17 year old needs a 275 yard 4 iron in his bag. Whenever I hear some golf announcer fawning over a pro hitting a 200 yard 8 iron, I will think of this video.
Great video, What ball are you currently playing?
Man I'm really hoping that we can get you those STI2's. Those would be a perfect contrast in cost to comparison in performance with these exact irons. 🤞
Awesome video mate! Well done
XXIO are by far the most forgiving Clubs period especially for the slow to moderate swing speeds
As usual, another great video. I would never buy these irons. Feels like the tide is growing bigger and bigger of people who are not just willing to consider but actually seek out the great performing DTC irons that have more tolerable and realistic price points.
I'm a big fan of your channel love the reviews thank you
With so many new irons released every season
With new words to describe the super duper new technology used in their development
I often think the irons are pretty much the same as the irons that the company produced 10 years ago
And the only thing that's really changed,is the new words invented to describe the newest super duper clubs.
This is my new favorite YouTube channel. I’m always looking to get better at golf.
Callaway Elite at an elite price😂😂😂😂😂
Good and fair review there Gabe. Thanks.
I like how these don't scream "game improvement!", actually look very good void of any colorful paintfill. I'll dare say they remind me of the older X forged irons, at a glace anyways.
Hi Gabe…always love your videos and awesome job evaluating clubs. Would you recommend these Callaway over the MACSPD for a mid handicapper on a budget?
there's no such thing as forgiveness in golf
Golf clubs prices are getting out of hand.. even budget irons are getting out of budget. I have been looking at 2-3 year irons and such.
you missed one of the most important things I was coming to this video to see.. how much of a difference/upgrade are they from the AI Smoke
Went through an iron fitting yesterday. Hit the new Pings, Srixons and the Elytes. The Elytes blew both away from a consistency perspective. I've played Srixon ZX5s for years but ended up ordering a set of Elytes.
Nicely shot video. Who’s your new videographer?
As for the clubs, since he’s seeking forgiveness, maybe Zelinskyy should use Them when he plays with Trump.
These remind me a bit of my steelhead XR irons, aesthetically and performance
What putter do you use? Do you not like the lab as your main?
Iron tech is getting insane! I honestly can't believe the lofts of modern irons. It's not that they are just stronger but the way they can manipulate the COG we are still able to get height on the shot. Any iron of 10-15 years ago with these lofts would not hit balls these distances. 3,4,5, and maybe even 6 irons would be useless because you'd have a really hard time hitting the ball high enough to get the right carry distance.
Hi Gabe, I put these up against my Paradyms thinking I might be walking out with new irons. I like the way the Elytes look, but at the end my Paradyms were better.
Took 10 shots with each, distance was 8-10 yrs better, club speed and ball speed were also better.
I hit the Elytes the best I could but they couldn’t compete. Some may have differing opinions.
I think the lofts are different, but I need a stronger lift as I’m getting older.
Elyte 7 iron 10 shots 169 yds
Paradym 10 shots 179
Gabe great video, are the X and HL models game improvement , where the regular Elyte irons are for average to faster swing speeds
You hit a 241 yard 4 iron on your PING G440 video, and now you are complaining about hitting one 224 in saying you didn't catch it? Dude, my driver goes 230. And then you are thinking you can reach a 467 yard par 5 in two with just irons? I mean, with your length, why not just hit the long drive tour, and pull everything but irons out of your bag if you are hitting irons so well. I mean, honestly, I thought my game was similar to yours, but these distances with irons you are getting are not normal. And you hit a PING 9 iron 176 the other day? Dude, I'm struggling to hit 5 iron that far right now. You need to stop and realize the distances you are hitting these clubs are not normal for anyone.
