I enjoy watching Shapo hit, but he makes it difficult to truly like him as a person when he’s arguing with umpire about the line calls when it’s all electronic now. He thinks his eyes are more accurate than the cameras. What arrogance is that. And when the line calls are in his favor, he’s happy. C’mon Denis.

Shap has the game to be no. 1, to me he is the most talented player out there, he can generate angles at will, unfortunately the game requires him to do it over and over again, this game is hard on risk takers , tennis has become boring because it does not reward risk takers

Shapo is letting the game come to him, which is very good. He's not forcing things. New coach is working wonders. Kid has all of the talent in the world. Easily a top 10 talent. If he stays focused, healthy, doesn't force things, and works the points right, not many can stay shot for shot with him. He is on a crazy good run right now. Beat Paul, Fritz, and Ruud in a row in Dallas for the title. Looks good for this tourney as well.

Fokina did good even against the cold home crowd, speaks some volume to his mental currently. Machac did not care about Tien's lefty slice at all, maybe slice serve is all he has. Surprised Nakashima won straight sets against Goffin, it's been rough for both players.
