Good analysis of the Matilda's thing guys. One of the things I found abhorrent with his comments was that none of his colleagues were calling him out, but in fact laughed along with him.
I'm glad to see you guys using your positions to criticise that sort of thing because it starts with men calling out other men. Hopefully more guys with that attitude get through in media.
Get over all the woke junk, as it has gotten too lop sided. Saying you don't want to watch anything because of …. is a personal choice . I will tell you right now women's AFL bores me , just like the women in WSL ( world surf league ) it just doesn't have the speed and aggression I want to see ! Does it mean I'm sexist ? It is just like I don't want to watch some guy walking down the swim suit runway in his c- jocks or watch men's soccer. But I don't mind women's MMA , its all about person preference ! Also the true blue aspect of Aust has all but been erased due to an over exaggerated political correctness !

It would be good if someone made a compilation of previous comments made by Marty Sheargold on mens teams who play poorly. Not sure if you guys get to listen to it in the west but Marty hates soccer and goes hard on every team underperforming, often makes AFL team comparisons to AusKick. Not sure why the Matilda’s are untouchable Also the question about “are there any mens sport news” was at the very end

Fremantle on paper have a top 4 team. If they were to reach a preliminary final anything could happen and fingers crossed I hope we see a Fremantle premiership sometime soon.
Coming from a West Coast fan I can see big potential out of Fremantle. All they have to do is reach that potential and they'll be as hard to stop as anyone.

Taryn Thomas should be given a conditional chance.
He should be told by Swan Districts that any breach of player conduct expectations will be hardwired in his contract as a zero tolerance judgement and that terminating that contract will be the only result.
If Taryn is accepted by Swan Districts it will be a thought experiment that he is 100% in control of. He deserves that chance to prove he has grown but to granted that chance he must be on public notice there is no wiggle room for a breach of expectation.
Swan Districts has a chance to show the footballing world that they are capable of rehabilitating a person who deserves a another chance. Conversely if Taryn wastes that chance then I don't see him coming back from it.
From the point of view of a man who watches a lot of women's sport and generally enjoys it, the Matildas have been terrible since the World Cup and the Sam Kerr court case has also done their reputation significant damage.
However, Mr Sheargold's comments were waaaaay over the top and I am sure he hasn't actually watched top level women's sport so is in no position to comment. He is great in Fisk tho! 😅

Archer Reid needs exposure ultimately. But I do think that Jack Williams looks a smart forward to me and can play second ruck if required. BWilliams will need WAFL time as a forward if he is to develop proper forward craft. He can't go from 3 years ruck work, to suddenly being a forward and taking games off A Reid or J Williams. Could J Williams play any defensive roles if required.

Bomber and JLo are eerily similar in terms of results at the five year mark. But, in that 5th year, Geelong turned in a 4th on the ladder where Freo were 10th. For the rest of Bombers tenure, the lowest they finished was 10th and earned two cups. On the other hand, and I'm blown away by this, Chris Scott has only been out of finals twice in 15 years for two cups!!! Amazing – let's get him to coach Freo next year!!!

sorry skeeter think it's a bit past your bed time Grandpa, * flags * with 3 other teams in the comp played in a tram yard from 1800's will not and do not cover Hawthorn and Geelongs AFL dynasty flags of the AFL of not just the modern era ( HAW 13 flags from 61') . Hawthorn and Geelong are much much closer to being a big two in VIC than any other Victorian clubs, former big Clubs like an Essendon and Carlton are more about marketing and PR than actual on-field success which is why they've been less successful than a Hawthorn, Geelong or even a Richmond more recently in a far more difficult nationalised modern era competition with salary caps and limits. No clubs in Victoria have the same standards on field or even off as a package off field to go with the on field success like a Hawthorn or Geelong provide – honestly speaking. Both are destination clubs, where If you play a grand final at any other clubs in VIC and you lose that game their fans will still embrace you and see it as some type of step forward in success, that DOES NOT exist at a Hawthorn or Geelong lol, A lost GF to both those clubs is viewed as the same shame as a wooden spoon! hahah and thats speaking for Both the internal and externals of both those clubs – from players to fans which is why they are both differently built to any other clubs in VIC or the AFL even. Not saying that it means more to us but more around the search for perfection and standards for achieving that are the highest at a Geelong or Hawthorn so much so even that the modern era wave of Hawthorn fan doesn't even respect the rivalry with Essendon as a club anymore, because they view it as an embarrassment to share a rivalry with a club that has been so poorly performing collectively as them. They respect a Geelong even a Richmond or a Collingwood as a fun rivalry but not the clubs that don't actually win flags which is exactly what a Carlton and an Essendon have been and are now In reality.
