The Natural isnt supposed to be believable, its all those legendary exaggerated romantisized stories of baseball when it stood alone as the number one sport in baseball, that criticism sounded clueless, especially for one who should know better, come on, beginning with the tree getting struck by lightning and him and his father carve a bat from the splintered trunk, to the woman determined to step in and alter history by killing the one proclaiming to be the best there ever was (she represents the devil ) ,to Hobbs showing up decades later a forgotten casualty, attempting to overcome his devilish fate on pure talent alone, Bump running into the wall and dies, hobbs knocks the cover off the ball,.his old girlfriend representing the good by standing up ,in all white to get his attention while he was in a hex induced slump by the black magic judge and she breaks the hex,his old injury coming back to threaten his comeback and his life as the devils magic goes allout to stop him from being proclaimed "the best that ever was" ,this is great American mythology, baseball folklore, its charlie daniels "the devil went down to Georgia " but instead of a fiddle its a bat, for people who love baseball and the stats ,old nicknames ,legendary old stories , this is one of the greatest sports movies of all time ,view it from this perspective and you will grasp the true intent , for me this movie is absolutely irresistible, my dad knowing how much i loved baseball took me on the day ot came out and we had such a great day ill never forget it, that movie just hit it perfectly for me , i grew up in the midwest with the Cubs on tv during the day and kmox and the Cardinals with jack buck and mike shannon on the radio at nights, listening to baseball on the radio,especially with ,and all due respect to vin scully, but jack buck was second to no one, and mike shannon was the perfect partner and, even though i rooted against the cubbies during the day, Harry Carey was awesome and i grew up with my uncles and dad and grandfather telling me exaggerated whoppers of the antics of Musial , and Dizzy Dean, Rogers Hornsby, and my grandad telling me about him being at the game in 1926 when grover alexander came in game 7 bases loaded amd tony lazzary up, he said old pete was so hungover you could smell the whiskey from him all the way up in the stands and of course he struck him out and finished the game and won the series, stuff like that is what this movie represents, Ruths called shot, all the superstition ,what a great movie, you want realism you watch Bull Durham which i love the natural is baseballs fairy tale or its king Arthur and the knights of the round table ,ok im done

The Rams should trade Matthew Stafford, and sign Aaron Rodgers, and Davante Adams then with her extra draft pick they should draft Jaylen Melro and let him sit for a year or two to develop. The Rams originally wanted Aaron Rodgers before Stafford anyway, but the Packers would not trade him to them. Look at Stafford stats pretty average.
Rams are getting rid of Stafford and Cupp so bring Aaron Rogers and Davante Adams in to replace them draft a QB in the 2026 draft it'll have better QBs in it sign Rogers for two yrs where he can work with the rookie QB in 2026
