  1. They act and sound more like a distance ball but as you noted they are mid as far as distance performance goes. I'll definitely check out the Members Mark ball after watching both of your videos.

  2. Not surprised by this review. Costco is unfortunately on the decline overall. Especially, when compared to Sam’s Club. Costco is investing in ways to treat members like they’re thief’s (e.g. membership card readers at entrance, can’t truly “self check”, etc), whereas Sam’s has improved store brand, they have scan ‘n go app you can avoid the checkout line. Sam’s has even invested in AI that scans your cart on the way out so you don’t have to stand in that long line just to leave the store. Costco is dying fast.

  3. Did Kirkland just rebadge the V3 with a worse ball? All of 2024 my Kirkland balls came in that same black V3 box and not the silver V2 box

  4. Costco balls have NEVER been good. Cheap yes but garbage compared to other DTC brands like Maxfli etc

  5. There hasn’t been a good Kirkland ball since the first one. After they got sued by Titleist, they couldn’t copy the Pro V1. All the following balls were substandard.
The Legato ball is a much better ball.

  6. In a few short years I’ve gone from loyal Kirkland chaser to new father talking about the good old days of the V2 😒

  7. Have you heard any rumors about Kirkland irons getting Re-released?

I saw a social media post that the Costco in Canada had the irons back in stock.

  8. Great show again Gabe, thanks for this, I will finish off the Kirklands that I have, and then I think I will give the legato a go, keep them coming mate.

  9. They sounded loud off the driver. Sometimes you do get what you are paying for.

I will spend a little more and know I have something I like besides playing a cheap ball.

I’m going to try the Vice Pro Plus against the Legato 3085s

Gabe my wife is blaming you for so many golf ball boxes she has to order me off Amazon. 🤣🤣
I told her wait till the driver reviews come out. LOL

  10. The costco golf nut who loves budget golf products is disappointed in the new costco golf ball, while playing premium boutique edel irons and a bag full of major manufacturer products.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA. Pure Comedy !!

That would be a much better title to your video Gabe !!

  11. I didn't have the tech or the ball testing experience that you have, but i used them for a few rounds and something was off. I'd occasionally just get very weird ball flights, which I suppose could be due to the decreased spin that you noted. The balls just didnt fly consistently compared to other golf balls. Definitely lost some distance compared to the tp5x too

  12. You had zero data on the wedges. Ball is not always the culprit. your swing plus club tech will have an impact on spin/data as well. Ive only used these once so far this year outside and they were fine. For the budget and performance? how can you say that you can not recommend them? that's just crazy to me lol maybe a single digit or scratch golfer would stick with a premium ball. my preferred gamer is the pro but i rock this all day and its cheap. i get plenty of spin and performance just fine. next time do a data pull on your sim to compare. imo

  13. Great review, it’s one I’ve been looking forward to since they showed up in my area!

  14. Could you possibly do a video using gs pro with square golf launch monitor and an ipad. I
Inquired with gs pro and they said you couldn't do it , but other people are saying you can. I'm confused. Keep up the good work.

  15. Sounds like the upside of a great price is not worth the ball you are stuck playing with. When you can get Legato or the Maxfli Tour balls for around $26/dozen it is not worth it for what is supposed to be a urethane, multi-layer ball. I actually stopped playing Maxfli and tested the Pinnacle Rush balls. I really like 'em and they are $19 for a box of 15. The only thing is you will have to adjust anything from inside of 50 yards and around the green. They are fine on full or mostly full shots. Around the green (and this fits my chipping style nicely) you need to bump the ball onto the green and count on some roll out. I think this is a better chipping method than flying the ball closer to the pin and trying to get it to spin. More reliable to chip on and let it roll like a putt. Either way, I am long over the days of buying boxes of Z-Stars or Pro-V's.

  16. It's a really good ball. A few holes in, I hit a laser over 270 off the deck with my mini driver, and had one go about 290 off a tee, both with a much lower and more boring trajectory than the silver stripe. Seems to be quite a bit longer than the last generation, and less spinny, they aren't ripping back on the green like the silver stripes. My favorite 3 piece offering from Costco so far. My driver SS is around 117 for comparison.
