So many players in contention on the back nine.

    Pre-bifurcation.

Like or not this is why TV golf is hurting right now

  2. Spencer513

This same leaderboard can still exist at the Masters.

  3. Active_Letterhead275

Back when professional golf was still great.

You knew poulter would choke, only think he did was win Ryder cup matches

  5. I’ll remember this day till the end of time. Everyone in front of Tiger putting it in the water on 12. He steps up, hits it to 40 feet safely and makes par. Never looked back. Birdie on 13, 15 and stuffed it on 16 to solidify maybe the greatest comeback achievement in sports history. Cinema

I have watched the full Sunday broadcast from this tournament no fewer than 5 times. It’s truly the best 5 hours of entertainment ever recorded.

  7. Due-Meal-8760

I don’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday but I recall right where I was on this glorious day.

Thrilled to have been there that week. Albeit it was only on Thursday but I’ll always have a connection to the 2019 Masters.

And an injured, past his prime Tiger stepped on everyone’s throats. I loved this tournament for the fact it showed Tiger would win in any era, regardless of competition. Prime Tiger in this era would be Prime Scottie on steroids

Netflix saw that and thought, let’s make a reality show.

  11. Put $20 or $30 I think on Tiger and it paid around $300 which was my share of a golf trip I went on. Thanks Tiger!

Five years later and I wouldn’t put money on many of them to even make the cut (assuming they’d even get cleared for drive down magnolia)

Man…… Remember 2019? Feels like remnants of memories from a begone era long ago.

Crazy how fast golf changes vs other sports.

In the 6ish years since this graphic:

    * Tiger: Another major medical issue (car crash), a shell of even 2019 tiger that was a shell of actual Tiger

    * Dustin: Took a bag to play retirement YMCA rec league golf. Can’t fault him, just thought he had more in the tank to give, but generational wealth for a chuckle fuck event can’t be passed up.

    * Brooks: Glimpses of former greatness but definitely not the killer he once was. The meltdown on Sunday at Augusta was something you would never expect out of pre-liv Brooks

    * Molinari: Deep in the lab trying to find his game. Great showing this week at Mexico for him

    * Rahm: Disappointing 2024 and has a lot of work to do to not continue down that route of irrelevancy that so many have taken after joining LIV

    * Webb: Forgot he existed tbh. Wish I could keep it that way

    * Ian: See dustin, minus the “more to give” part.

Day and Tony seem like career guys who will never rewrite records but plot along making great money playing a game they love.

Rickie got lost, and then somehow rescued himself all since this graphic. I’d prefer if Cantlay got lost tbh

On the good side, X is now a certified assassin. Oh and the best player on the planet today? You had never heard of him

2018-19 Woods was such a joy to watch and this topped it all off

I’m one of the people that doesn’t hate LIV. I’m most certainly a PGA guy but I really did/do love some of those guys. DJ, BK, BD, JR, PM, etc. But man, it’s really sad how things have gone with it all. I used to get so damn excited to turn on my tv every weekend to watch the best guys play each other down to the wire. And I get that the LIV guys can still play in the big events, but they all really fell off once they moved. That competition surely changed. Still love it all, but just not the same!

I was driving home from college and I pulled over to a hotel parking lot to watch the ending

Even just thinking about this round gives me chills. It was so good. I remember telling my dad shortly before this: Tiger has one more major in him and he said absolutely not. He was wrong.

  19. DarthPlayer8282

Poor Molinari – who put that damn tree there?

  20. matttinatttor

I watched the entirety of this broadcast in the Wilmington, NC airport, drunk, with a delayed flight.

  21. brixtonsquare

Where’s taylor gooch? I guess that wasn’t a serious masters

  22. McSkaybit

I started watching golf on tv basically right after this, not even realizing the magic I’d just missed. I’ll always kick myself for not getting into it sooner lol. Still need to watch the broadcast of it

  23. NEW_GNGR_9601

I was watching at a sports-bar with my mom and sister.

I’ll never forget Molinari hitting into the water on 12.

  24. srbowler300

A testament to Augusta’s ability to bring out the best in the best golfer’s games.

  25. WalterTheRealtorVA

It’s funny to see the LIV names. Ian Poulter, Rahm, etc I forget about them.

  26. TwoGuysWithBalls

Still remember that one… if somebody had told me at the beginning of 2019 that Tiger would win another major, that would have sounded like crazy talk. Can’t count out the GOAT

  27. rationalien

I was there that day. Lots that I could say, but the drama of looking at the boards to understand who was moving up or down while having no phone and only being able to see a hole or two at a time was thrilling.

I was on 14 and heard the groans from 12 when Molinari hit it in the water. We knew for a minute or two that it was Tigers group, but had no idea who it was.

    What a day.

  28. I love how Tiger was juuuust in Molinaris field of view on the 12th tee box. What an amazing day of golf, almost holed it on 16. That win to me solidified him as the greatest of all time.
